A reminder about taste and decency on GRcade

Alvin Flummux has just been banned for 3 weeks (until 27 January 2009), based on a unanimous Mods decision that his Madeleine McCann post on page 2 of the "Too old . . ." thread - which some of you may have seen - was thoroughly distasteful and went way too far. It was pretty sick stuff, to be honest, and not at all funny.

This is the longest ban period we have given to an established forumite so far (to my knowledge) and so I thought that now would be a good opportunity to remind everyone that, while the Mod team likes to be pretty lax and liberal when it comes to reacting to forumites being "edgy", there is still a line - a pretty obvious line in this case. Please don't push it, as it's neither big nor clever.

Hooray. Alvin's turned into a bit of a dick since he touched a girl's boob on the train or wherever.

Ah well. He can focus on getting his end away now with that lass now.

From now on, any such questions accompanied by images or anything else related to that kind of question will be regarded as being the same as you posting the thing in a random thread! So you'd probably get banned for homophobia and racism if you posted it again!
