I hate these games so much. So I’ll be waiting for a price cut before I buy this.

It's £19 on PC via CDkeys.

Also, why buy it if you hate it?

Got feeling it's "I like them but I hate them because I get stuck easily."

Because that's pretty much me when I play these games lol

How do they play without duel screens?

They originally started on GBA, so it's doable. I assume fifth case from DS version of first game has been tweaked like WiiWare version to be playable on one screen, if it's included.

No, it’s not the achievements, and I don’t find them that tricky. I enjoy the gameplay itself. I simply detest the characters. All of them. Everything about them. But particularly that hyper girl.

I won’t really be buying it. That was self-mockery aimed at the fact I buy too many games.

Don’t worry you’ll see Damon Gant and co in this.

AA’s fifth episode is in. The games work well without the second screen.

The characters made the game.

The characters are excellent. Apart from Oldbag. And Miney. And most of Apollo.

Most of the characters are excellent.

I was wanting to grab this with the translation but I've never made a purchase on the Japanese store before. Would this work as a purchase on Nox using an American debit card or do I need to buy a Japanese prepaid card first?

I heard I may need a VPN to make this purchase too though and I'm completely ignorant to how I'd go about that. I think this is all allowed to discuss since I'm trying to get the game legally but if it isn't allowed feel free to delete this post.

(Sorry if this had been answered, didn't see it anywhere.)

It has launched in Europe now so you can buy it from your preferred store.

Playing though on 3DS so I can join the hype!

It's a pain when you can see a contradiction but can't find the trigger item/phrase combo, but otherwise it's amazing. Especially for £8.24

I had the DS versions but they got lost. Probably in the clutches of my ex wife.

I’m tempted to buy another DS and get 4/5/6 as apparently the Japanese versions have English translations in them.

I bought these games recently on the eShop... because they were on sale!
Image
They'd been on my wishlist for a while - I missed out last time they were 50% off but told myself then that I'd bite if they were on sale for that price again.
Image
I've really enjoyed them so far - I've done the first 4 cases and am on the final day of case 5. Case 3 was a bit meh but the others have all been great.
Image
I played the original on DS years ago but got annoyed by the tendency of the game to revert to trial and error given its linear nature and need to follow its own, sometimes unintuitive, strict order. But the addition of an anytime save function means that's no longer a bugbear (as the risk of getting it wrong too many times and having to replay a whole section is now gone).
Image
Did anyone else pick these up in the recent sale?
