Easy there man, your question is perfectly valid. Achievements are the rewards system on the Xbox 360, and trophies are the rewards system on the PS3.

I think he meant they both serve the same purpose essentially.

The only difference is the half-assed implementation of trophies compared to achievements. They are essentially exactly the same outside of that.

Achievements are alright. A fun addition, but I've never gone truly out of my way to try and obtain them all.

I don't think I've ever thousand-pointed a game. Once I lose interest it is incredibly hard for a game to win it back.

I dont know which is better as I only have a 360, but they are a nice addition because they make them more rewarding.
