I had planned to blow 600,000 into turnips, but with only five minutes until midday and some sorting of pockets needing to be done, I only managed to buy 192,000s worth. At 96 per turnip, that's not bad.

But... wait. I can still buy more? She's still around? Let's see just how many more I can get, then.

Yeah, she only seems to disappear once you enter a house or reload the game. I had my game in sleep mode when I was standing next to her last week, woke it up at about four and *then* bought all my turnips.

Well, that's a good thing to know, especially as it meant I could get near to that 600,000 spend and ended up with 6000 turnips (though I did accidentally eat ten of them while dropping them in my house).
