Truly great games, with number one just pipping number two to my favorite. What about yours?

Anyone still play it online at all? I used to from time to time, tis great fun. Playing over a network is also a lot of fun, old retro games cannot be beaten for pure love.

I play 1, sometimes anyway. It's probably the best in the series, nothing can beat camping behind walls with a million villagers.

I still play both, but prefer Empire Earth or Civ as both have more depth.

That's a completely different kind of game all together though? You've got RTS which is Age of Empires, then TBS like Civ. I like Civ II, but it's so awkward to understand alot of the things that are going on.

A good point, well made. EE is definitely RTS, and prettier and more fun than AoE.

Never played Empire Earth so a questions to those who have played it. Did it have the ablity to have your own custom AI or Make your own scenarios and campaigns to an extent as one can do in AoK:TC.

Yes, it does. It also supports online multiplayer.

What was up with the equivalent of Peons saying "Habidasher" in AoE? It still makes me laugh.

All villagers speak in native tongue (at least it Age2) so it'll just be an ancient way of saying "building"

That's a point. I remember playing the multiplayer over LAN against a few of my friends and most of our attention was put to arguing with the taunts through demanding gold/food/wood/stone.

Gimme' some stone

No

Yes

We will not tolerate this behaviour.

Hey, nice towel

No

Our routine goes 22, 2.

Couldn't you get like a bunch of highpower units with cheats? Like... a car that shoots missles and snipers and stuff? x3

Good times, good times...

Absolutely adored these games as a kid, not so much with AoE3 but the first two were amazing at the time.

Used to love AOE2, people always dropped games with me online because they thought I was cheating :(

Got the gold edition of AOE2 if anyone wants to buy.

AOE 2 was my favourite, and I was amazing at it, despite not owning it, and the only time I got to play it was when friends lent it to me.
