Looked up that Phoebe Bridgers album after reading about it in this thread and am absolutely obsessed with it now.

My favourite this year is probably Thundercat 'It Is What It Is'. I wasn't too into it initially, but after a few listens he got me good.

Biggest disappointment of the year for me is the new Car Seat Headrest album. Feels very uncertain in what it wants to be.

I wish we had a thread like this for individual tracks rather than albums, might make one myself at some point.

My mate is still pushing this band on me. He has been for about 28 years now. I have to admire his tenacity.

That’s about the same length of time that I’ve been into them. But if you’re not sold on them by now, yeah, maybe he should give up.

Oh I cant say i dont like them, i just have not got round to having a listen yet :fp:

I remember when we (he) first discovered them in an issue of Kerrang! all that time ago.

Haha, well Obsidian is a good a place to start as any, or the just re-released 25th anniversary Draconian Times.

Talking of Draconian Times... my copy just arrived, and my name is on the fan thanks page! It was quite unexpected, but exciting.
