Endlessly enjoyable. :slol:

Gotta admit Sega have played a blinder by effectively shutting down any official web-based reviews until tomorrow. You have to admire that kind of total censorship to guarantee those valuable pre-orders.

Don't be retarded.

Maybe they're getting piss reviews due to a lack of bribes...

Was that supposed to be a joke or a serious comment? :?

I think you underestimate the taste sensation of Doritos and the thirst-quenching satisfaction of Mountain Dew. Oh yeah :datass:

I think he underestimates them too. We're not talking any old crisp, we're talking Doritos, strawberry floating doritos man, thats the difference between a score of 5 and a score of 7. Then you add in Mountain dew, christ we'd be talking game of the year.

Played a bit more of this, when you get to 'Hadley's Hope' on LV426 it actually, slightly improves and defo feels more like an 'Aliens' game. I'm not saying GOTY material, it's still very, very sloppy in places....

Not played on-line yet.

How did they explain the colony still being there despite nuclear explosion?

The reactor explodes, but isn't it really far away from the actual colonial housing, problem if they'd stayed they would have been hit by radiation. Think I read that in a graphic novel or something.

Isn't the reactor that blew up the same one that was right outside the window when Bishop points it out?

Aye, the reactor was nae that near, the plant itself was destroyed (where the hive was), but the colony would only have received some of the blast.

Yeah, that works :shifty:

Except they make a big issue of the fact they need the drop ship to escape. If the blast wouldn't hit the colony they could sit it out and await rescue. I'm sure there was enough atmosphere for them to cope 17 days without the reactor producing oxygen. Besides I'm pretty sure reactor was quite close, just down the service tunnel. I doubt they would have a 50 mile tunnel...

Plus the shock wave of the explosion hit the drop ship which was escaping into orbit, so it should have vaporised a huge chunk of the planet surface. Especially given size of mushroom cloud seen as they flee.

Aye but again, its the radiation issues to be fair. they would have all been irradiated if they stayed.

I'll look when I go home, I'm sure its in a graphic novel about Hadleys, about some Aliens that weren't in the Hive when it exploded and just chilled out in what remained of Hadleys, radiation not being an issue for them 8-) . Could have been an AvP novel, I can't honestly remember off the top of my head.

Boris what Aliens and Predator comics would you recommend?

I've got a few of the Omnibus volumes, they're great.

Also have three omnibuses (omnibi?) for each franchise separately.

Requiem is good, its AvP.

Alien the graphic novel/illistrated novel is cool, its where I first learnt of Alien, it got re-released not to long ago, its a graphic novel of the first film, I read it when I was 8 or 9, not being allowed to see the movie at that age.

To be honest most of the Avp stuff I have is in the Omnibus editions just.

Edit - the cross overs are ace. Aliens v Dredd is a must. Alien Generation IIRC, is aliens v superman, AvPvTerminator, if you can find it is a total strawberry floating classic, I wish I still had it :x

Aliens Earth Hive is a good Novel too.

Why would they even need to consider sitting it out, though? After the first dropship crashes Bishop should have told them then that he could bring down the spare one from the Sulaco - and surely the surviving Marines would know that was an option, anyway?

Just didn't make sense.
