My girlfriend has got in to a Marvel comic at issue 3 so I am after the previous two issues from a few months ago. I've found both on eBay but wondered if there were better places to support rather than scalpers.
Does it have to be physical? She not interested in going digital with it?
Yeh she is collecting physicals as it was the first time in a comic shop. I think we are going sleeves and boards too luckily the two missing issues are about £10 each delivered on eBay so not too expensive and it's only going to be a 5 issue run overall (Captain Carter).
Does anyone here bother with variants? Are they worth getting to add value? The variant covers look a bit gooseberry fool so I don't think I'll bother unless it's worth it for the complete set.

In the UK, generally eBay. Since it's Marvel, you might have luck at a local Forbidden Planet or similar.
Yeah there are a lot of small comic book stores who operate via eBay. It's convenient and you'll be supporting small businesses.
Been getting back into comics recently after a spell of 4-5 years where I hardly read anything. Decided to stay away from all the current stuff, and instead go to things I had on my list for so long, but never seemed to get around to BECAUSE of keeping on top of the current stuff.
Got through Paper Girls in it's entirety, and while I thought it was pretty good, it wasn't quite on the same level of Brian K Vaughan's best stuff.
I'm about half way through the Boom Studios Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Go Go Power Rangers run and even though I'd heard plenty about how much people liked this, it's still surprised me how good it is. It's the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers I loved as a kid, but there's a bit more depth to it all, a bit more explanation of how it all works.
And now I've just started Invincible, which so far is my favourite of the lot, although I've only read the first 3 TPBs. It just covers so much of what I like about the superhero genre, without the baggage of trying to use characters that have been going for 50+ years. I've tried a lot of comics out over the years looking for something like this, such as Astro City, but this just nails it.
Debating reading through The Boys. Watched the first season of the Amazon show and I thought it was pretty good, but the consensus seems to be the show does a much better job than the comic did.
Been reading a lot of Mike Mignola stuff recently, Mr Higgin’s Comes Home was a great classic horror story and you can feel the influence from Fearless Vampire Killers. Picked up some other titles whilst on sale like Witchfinder and Baltimore as well so will get onto them at some point.
Dropped off reading Marvel stuff recently, was getting a bit of superhero stuff overload
Is there a good comic reading app on IPad where I can read all my books in one place? I have comics in Comixology/Amazon and some in PDF and .epub formats in my files that can only be read in the Apple Books app?

Looks like Ultimate Hank Pym yeah. I wish they'd just take the best couple of Ultimates characters into the main universe and get the rest of them killed off at this point. Miles Morales - check. Maker - check. Everyone else - into the sea.
