I'm quite interested in that, would be good to see what Punk could come up with. I reckon he's got the right kind of creative mind for the industry. And if Gerard Way can write a story I enjoy, there's no reason why Punk can't!

Finally read the Spider-Verse issues of the month. Couple of thoughts:

1. BEN strawberry floating REILLY! Very glad I read Spider-Verse Team Up #1 before ASM #9 or I'd have been mixed up in terms of his re-introduction into the world. But I'm really glad to see him back as he was the Spider-Man I read about as a kid. Really hoping that he survives the experience. This brings me to my next point...

2. Kaine is clearly being set up for a big role in the Spider-Verse as The Other. I'm tentatively predicting that he'll die, probably killing the bloke who destroyed the New Warriors' base in Wundagore. I'd also like to see them resolve a hanging plot thread around Kaine's character before one or both of them pops their clogs - some sort of reconciliation with Ben Reilly would round off both characters' arcs very nicely.

3. Interesting set up with Earth-001 and the Morlun family. I'm excited to see how this will go down as they're setting Morlun's dad up to be an insurmountable enemy.

4. Peter hasn't met The Superior Spider-Man yet, so I'm looking forward to him meeting, essentially, his own killer face to face. Unfortunately we already know how Ock's story ends, but it will be very interesting to see how they interact, especially if Otto has to defer on decision making to Peter.

5. Gwen Stacy Spider-Man looks like she'll be a bit of a mindfuck for the 616 guys. Good.

There's a fantastic pastiche in Spider-Verse #1 of the old adverts they used to run in comics where a superhero would advertise cakes or cigarettes. Morlun kills the advertiser Spider-Man in a one page special.

No kidding.




Love the new Joker redesign. Love the backup's Bruce Timmesque artwork. Love the fact it gave that fairly pointless annual a reason to exist.

Make sure you go back and reread that annual. The ending in particular is . How did we all miss it?

Re-read Batman #34 as well.

Oh you absolute bloody genius Snyder. Especially after what you pulled in the last issue. strawberry floating knocking it right out of the park.

Capullo's art has been absolutely top notch in Endgame as well.

I was gona but Bleeding Cool has an article up with all his previous appearances. I love how much Snyder has set up and what more is to come that has been teased/shown already

strawberry floating love that DC have spoilt nothing of this story. I know they can afford not too because they know it will sell tons regardless so they don't have to hype it but still nice to read a book where half of it hasn't been spoilt months in advance.

Well it was good DC didn't reveal in advance Endgame was a Joker story but a pic of the new Joker design was uploaded last night. It's a second printing variant cover for #35.
