Yeah there was a ton of rumours about him ending up there, especially after Bendis and a few others moved over, but I guess he just wanted a break from working at one of the big two for a while to focus on his creator-owned stuff with Image.

I collected all of Black Monday Murders, it was pretty good.

That image alone looks more interesting than any of the X-Men series post-AvX.

DC writers aren't allowed to use the Legion (or the JSA) until Geoff Johns finishes Doomsday Clock. If not for that Hickman probably would have got his Legion book.

How is Bendis doing at DC btw? :dread:

I'm enjoying Action Comics a lot but his Superman is worse and he's disregarding continuity in order to tell the story he wants. (He's doing a Bendis)

Yeah it's exactly what you would have predicted. He's great with the Daily Planet stuff but cosmic space stories are not his wheelhouse. In a similar vein I did like his Batman story in Detective #1000.

Yesterday- Speedyhen emails to say they've contacted the publisher and there is no indication of a publication date for the JMS Spider-man omnibus I've ordered.

Just now- Speedyhen emails me to say it's been dispatched.

I'll read it in a few years when he's finished and the glacially slow story can be read in its entirety. Just like I did with his FF stuff.

House of X was definitely a Jonathan Hickman comic. And it was glorious. :datass:

Actually bought some physical comics on Friday (and went to read in nearby Nero...just like when I was in Uni)

4 comics (Carnage, Powers of X, House of X) cost over £20...
