Christ I got that email but didn’t read it. Have they decided that the replacement one kills you well as well now?

A small number of users are experiencing skin irritation with the new face guard. Wondering at what point they stop sending out new guards and tell that small proportion to have a wash a bit more often...

Edit: just googled the rashes and there are some pretty nasty looking ones, but I'm wondering if there are a few people out there that are maybe spending more time in the middle of summer doing VR than having showers...

I have ordered one for the hell of it. I only play about an hour a month so I don’t consider myself high risk, but if Facebook are buying then I’m drinking.

There is currently a huge PSVR sale underway in the PlayStation Store and it runs until the close of play on Wednesday. I have been checking out the PSVR Without Parole channel on YouTube and they're going over every game in the sale. Part 3 is pasted above with parts 1 and 2 available on their channel and part 4 coming tomorrow.

Looking at the above vid, there are loads of games that I hadn't known about and they are looking pretty attractive at the low prices. I think it's time for me to return to VR!

Oh nice, cheers for the heads up!

Have you got astrobot? If not, get that!

I do have Astro... it's bloomin' fantastic!

I haven't played on my PSVR for ages; it's connected to my PS4 Pro at my desk and I have zero room for moving or waving my arms around.

But... I'm thinking that I could now connect it up to my PS5 in my living room. I have the PS4-to-PS5 camera adapter and - right now! - I'm trying to remember where I put it! If all goes well I'm gonna be getting back into PSVR this weekend and I'm pretty excited about it :toot: .

Playing VR is always exciting, and PSVR is still the comfiest headset I have used. I hope they keep the same form factor for the next revision.
I recently bought an elite strap for my Quest 2. It’s much better than it was, but not as comfy as Sony’s solution.

Yeah, I've only used PSVR in the VR field but it remains - IMHO - a standout moment in recent gaming years, kaz!

- - - - - - - - - -

I've in the midst of a big gaming reorganisation in my living room and, right now, I just have PS5 and PSVR connected.

The story so far:

> Phew! I'd forgotten what a palaver it is setting up PSVR  .
> PSVR v2 supports 4K HDR 60 FPS pass through (hoorah!); not 120 FPS but I don't use that anyway. PSVR v1 doesn't support HDR pass through.
> Dang it I wish the PS5 had three USB sockets on the back rather than two. I have my PS4 Camera and USB HDD drive plugged in the back with my PSVR plugged in the front. I've got the front cable going back pretty tidily under my (horizontal) PS5, though.
> The floor area behind my TV looks like some sort of rubbish tip; so many power adapters and cables :dread:  .
> Powered it all up and everything worked first time :toot: ... but I just realised that I'll need to use a DualShock controller for PSVR rather than DualSense, because it requires the light bar capability for most games. Gonna go dig one out.
> The Move controllers are on charge.

I have other things on now and am gonna have to continue the setup tomorrow. Sunday will officially be PSVR day :toot: .

Touch wood but after 3 broken Quest 2 Elite Strap + Battery combinations they finally sent me a new version a couple of months ago and it seems to be going ok so far. Much more stable and the plastic feels a bit firmer.

In other news I've ended up surpassing 3,000 hours in VRChat with 1,300 of that being in full body tracking lol. It's been a weird ride, but lots of fun and I've made a lot of new friends and experienced a lot of new things so I'd say it's been worth it so far!

I just picked up and started Zombieland Head Shot Fever. Seems like lots of fun for £11.

I've had PSVR for a couple of years but barely used it due to space issues. Now that I have it connected to my PS5 in my living room, I can finally play it. And I just tried Batman VR.

Dang! Incredible!

Right from the opening, moving your arms, picking up objects and just turning them over is such a cool experience. And when you put on the suit... oh boy!

It took me a while to work out that I had to fire the grappling gun to access areas of the Batcave ( :fp: ) but then I was off to see what happened to Nightwing. The detective analysis of the fight reconstruction scene was terrific.

I'm taking a break as I'd got a little hot and it takes me a wee time to acclimatise to VR. But, so far, it's ace - and I'm looking forward to trying out more stuff later. For me, PSVR remains my standout gaming experience of last/current gen... the cables and setup are worth it!

Arkham VR was the first game I bought back at release. I absolutely loved it. But yeah, it’s one of those games where you physically need a certain amount of space for it to work properly.

It used so many great introductory VR concepts, like the phone at the beginning and the movement relative to the mirror when suiting up.

Yeah, simple things like that work so well - they look great and I'm sure I actually exclaimed "wow!" when seeing the Batman reflection!

I haven't played too much more this afternoon; I've just been sorting out the cables and downloading my VR stuff. When I get to Astro Bot and Moss, I'm gonna start out fresh to re-experience everything  .

 . I'm not sure what Quest 2's "full body" mode is but I'm assuming it's not something you can do with PSVR!

You know, I might already be changing my mind about my setup. PSVR is dang great but I'm not sure that I want to have it connected up in my living room all the time; it's a bit messy :shifty: . I dunno; will see how it goes.

This is the issue I had as well. In the end I kept mine set up upstairs where I can shut myself away (but have no room for playing anything using moves).

I use the Quest for anything requiring actual body movement ( :datass: ).

It's catch 22, isn't it? Either have a messy living room with headset/Moves/chargers/cables wrecking the area or play in the side room... but with no space.
