It's bloody expensive once you have bought the thing and then followed it up with all the other stuff to get.

Damn right, you may be the first on GRcade! Right now it represents the pinnacle of home VR so when it's delivered I'm sure many here will want to see/hear your feedback.

I am reinstalling DSC right now and x-plane 11 is all ready to go. I checked steam and I have about 19 games that are VR ready (I have bought Pavlov, H3 and Beat sabre), I am quite happy there are a lot of games I play that are compatible or have a community mods to use VR. Playing Alien Isolation again may be quite interesting.

Now to wait on a delivery date once the bank holiday weekend is over.

Did you buy the knuckles controllers? (Or whatever they're called now). Would love some impressions on if they're worth the cash or not (I have a Vive).

I bought the full package all £919 of it.

I am aware there are some issue with the controllers and Valve are doing a lot of RMA's for them but I am happy to let you know once I have tried them out if they are worth getting once they have resolved the issues.

Just received the email about tracking. It's getting shipped from the Netherlands. Not long to go.

Red Matter’s Oculus Quest sales eclipse its Rift sales in just 1 week

Quest must be looking like a very tempting market place for a lot of VR devs right now.

I think this sold purely on the strength of the graphics alone.

Now quest has Vulcan support coming and devs are spending more time optimising, we're going to see some really unexpected visuals.

I thought my index was going to get here tomorrow however a knock on the door 5 minutes ago and I have my Index. Now to set it all up. I checked my controllers and no click issues so far and they do feel very nice in my hands.

I feel like a 10 year old on xmas eve.

I can't remember if you said you've used vr before, but if not, that first setup experience is strawberry floating mind blowing.

Shame it's just a gimmick. Remember 3D tv?! YEAH EXACTLY

I have used one but it has been a few years.

The packaging does feel high quality and makes it in to an event even if you are lifting up the tray to get to the power supplies and cables.

I probably get more joy out of watching people play on my PSVR for the first time, such is the impact of that initial impression. :slol:

I have played a few thing and I am bloody knackered.

My very brief initial feelings. The HMD feels quit comfortable even after 2 hours of use. The controllers feel really comfortable and just feel part of you with no worry of dropping them, they do have a lanyard for your wrists as well as the hand strap. There are some issues with finger detection where it seems to think my ring finger is my pinky bu I am sure that will be ironed out over time. I do like the speakers as well, they are bloody loud so you have to be careful what the volume is when you start playing a game.

Really easy to set up. Controllers had full charge so I didn't need to worry about those. I did update HMD and controllers which took about 5 minutes all in. I was expecting more of a hassle tbh.

I'm not sure if I posted pics in here (probably) but I mounted the lighthouses on camera grips and extending poles in my room. They're semi permanent, look pretty smart and allow for a bit of wiggle room on setup.

Yeah I bought some and they will be turning up tomorrow along with some of the ball mounts so I can raise them quite high and angle them down a bit.

I am bloody knackered. I think I should play more stuff sitting down and get fit. I may get a steering wheel now as well. No signs of motion sickness but I do need to rest for a while. One think I do feel gets overlooked is watching a movie, it's almost on a par with seeing it on the big screen, I just need some twats talking too loud, some bint on a phone and lots of coughing and spluttering.
