It clearly needs whatever is under that huge platform to run it, but it could be amazing to use. Its like an omnidirectional rolling road.

Obviously never buying a headset that costs more than my car, but I might need to venture into an Apple Store to see if I can have a go at that...

It looks cool but from the videos I've seen the performance of it currently is awful.

You can do a similar thing with Quest 3 and it seems to run much better from what I've seen, the difference is the outer cameras are not nearly as high quality. Works for basic things like looking at recipes and stuff while cooking though.

also lmao

Escape Simulator, a game I've thought needed a VR mode every time I've ever seen in in the Steam store, has now received a free VR update!

Obviously, this comes just as I've packed my main PC away into another room. :x

No more VR for you then, Knoyleo?

I miss VR.

Struggling to find the time for much gaming at all with two little ones in the house, and having to remove most of my tech stuff from the spare room I was using as an office before it becomes a bedroom, I've had to relocate my main PC. Before it goes in a space in the living room to serve as a remote desktop full time, I really need to get a new case, (and probably PSU) so it doesn't look like such an eyesore next to the living room furniture. Then, once I've done that, I can probably find 10 minutes a week to get my VR on through virtual desktop.

Wonder if VR will ever go all 'Existenz' (or Shangri-la frontier for fellow manga readers) and become fully immersive (the heaset doesn't display anything but 'projects' directly into your mind and you can feel and interact in an almost real dreamspace).

I imagine it'd be utterly terrifying but also amazing for people unable to walk/move due to disability (If it existed now I'd just be permanently logged in, riding dinosaurs into battle in the guise of an anime catgirl - or other equally ridiculous avatar that I wanted).

A man can dream but alas I seem to have been born 100 years too early.

Oh, the absolute dream. Who needs any other type of game when you can just go exploring the UK 24/7. With no restrictions and no-one else around. And then, maybe expand to the rest of the world.

I think if we're dreaming about a game we should probably pick somewhere more interesting than the UK to start with.

I mean... For everyone else, sure. I'll just be happy to cross off my ever growing list of UK locations.
