I bought the Quest 2 solely for wireless VR in those games where you just need the extra space like Blade & Sorcery, Eleven Table Tennis etc. It worked out well that the Air Link update came out the same week I bought one - managing 130mbps with a dedicated WiFi 6 router and it's really impressive but strawberry float, the strap in the box is horrendous. I don't much like the look of the Elite strap either because the principle is the same (it's strapped to your face), albeit slightly better counter balancing and comfort.

So I decided to buy this halo strap and it's perfect:

The plastic feels cheap, but it's really comfortable and as close as I can get to a Rift S halo strap.

Anyway, I've been playing Cosmodread and bought VR Skater yesterday, both great games I'd recommend anyone to buy.

Some footage I recorded of VR Skater if anyone is interested:

Any chance of a link to for that halo strap? I bought a Q2 a couple of days ago. I have to say, im not actually hating the standard strap, but if i do fancy an upgrade, i might go for this design rather than the consistently breaking elite strap.

Once you've got it set up right it's not too bad. I've even got used to wearing glasses with it now. All that bothers me is having to shift my man bun to the side for the top strap

Everyone's got their ergonomic bugbears though and I can see how it could wind people up.

Sure, I bought this one.

You can probably get it cheaper on eBay etc, but at least here you can return it easily if you don't like it.

Part of the Quest 2 is getting a full recall because it's causing some people skin irritation. :dread:

I've already requested my free replacement.

Started playing Jurassic World Aftermath today. From what I've played I can see this being a really, really good game.

The raptor scared the gooseberry fool out of me.

I should have my VR Cover later this week. Took a week to get an initial reply from FB, and i had to send photos of receipts etc, but if it means i get a £30 cover for free then I will be happy.

Despite hardly any of my friends being in to gaming, 2 of them have a Quest now. We have had some good fun catching up in Walkabout Mini Golf. I think its safe to say it has definitely crossed over to the casual market now.

Mine's arrived today. I didn't need to send any photos, just gave them my Amazon order reference and the serial number of the headset.

Possibly an order reference would have been sufficent in my case also, but i didn't want the progress to drag any more than it had to, so i just sent them everything.
Did they ask for your username?

I wanted a cover anyway, so this has worked out really well for me!

They asked for the email address I use to log in.

Yeah, i think they asked me for that OR my alias. Which seemed strange.

Been getting more into VR recently. Had a Quest 2 for a while now but didn't play much. Got Super Hot which was cool albeit a bit short, finishing in 2 hours 40, though there are lots of achievements still to get and some post-game modes so seems like there's some replayability. Kinda feels a bit hindered by the size of my room tho; there were times I wanted to run forward toward an enemy to get them, but could only go so far before my guardian literally cock blocked me. My cock couldn't go any further. And then it seems a bit silly to just wave my hands around to get the guys to come.

Beat Saber's super fun, but god damn are the later packs hard. Especially Castellia or whatever it's called. Still making my way through Expert, though I can do a couple of the easier ones on Expert+ so far. My arms are dead rn tho, most exercise I've had over lockdown lmao

My VR cover arrived today. Feels great, much more room around the nose and the headset seems to stay in place much better. I was sceptical as to how much benefit it would offer and am pleasantly surprised.

Mine arrived this week. It looked amazing but it's too narrow for my glasses, doesn't look like it's going to fit in the original box (forgot to try it out), and according to the state of California it gives you cancer - cheers FB :slol:

Got through Vader Immortal Ep2 tonight. They're criminally short but quite cool (DAT SABER  ). I find that I struggle with melee weapons in VR because my hand is comfortably inside the boundary area in real life but my brain is screaming that I'm about to put my lightsaber through my PC monitor...

Project Cars 2 was only £4 the other day so I bit on that. Not sure if it'll run particularly well on my machine but worth a try. I've had decent results with relatively little effort into optimising the refresh rate etc so I should have a play with that too.

I have been playing Swarm. That an incredibly fun arcade shotter with swinging mechanics. Takes a bit of time to get used to, and its massively elevated if you have room to spin around a full 360° and not have to use the sticks, but either way its really good with a lot of depth to the scoring system etc.

I got a 30% code through the other day, so im thinking now is the time to pick up The Climb 2.

Apparently the cancer warning is because it falls foul of the California regulation that demands that warning is present even if the exposure level you are subject to is only <1% of the actual level required for it to be hazardous.

After The Fall

Quite excited about this, although I hope it is less action-based than the trailer suggests and more in the style of the Walking Dead. I don't really want to be able to take on 20 enemies at the same time. I want to have to struggle with my co-op buddies to take on small groups of enemies and gain the satisfaction from doing so.

On the subject of the Walking Dead, did anyone else get it and complete the main story? I loved it, thought it was brilliant and I jumped straight back in to the new DLC mode The Trial, which is exhausting, frantic and quite addictive! If only it was compatible with co-op play, it would be perfect.

I bought it months ago and still have not played it! I expect the next (delayed) DLC will be out by the time I get round to it.

Bought (and started) The Climb 2 today. I can confirm my lights are securely fastened to the ceiling....

Christ I got that email but didn’t read it. Have they decided that the replacement one kills you well as well now?
