Has anyone played Space Channel 5 VR? Is it just Space Channel 5 in VR, or is it a new game?

There was some recent gooseberry fool with new Quest 2 owners linking and registering their Quest 2 from the 20th would get Asgard’s Wrath free as part of the promo. Kicked up a shitstorm seeing as it’s so new anyway and felt like people who bought on launch were getting a slap in the face. gooseberry fool I did and I only got mine on 15th.

Been changed now to anyone who’s bought between 19th September to 20th November.

Played Star Wars for ages, everything seems to be working fine now.

Assuming the cloud save has worked for The Walking Dead, I won't really have lost much. Still annoying to go through it obviously.

I must have spent a good 45 minutes moving from area to area last night, shooting bad dudes (and weird animal things). I eventually stopped playing because I sort of got stuck going round in circles. The navigation thing pointed me to a container with a red handle but no discernible way of opening it. There was nothing for my multi-tool thingy to do and I spent a good 5 minutes looking all around the area but no luck. Have you got past that point?

I'm leaning towards buying a Rift S on Amazon for Half Life Alyx I think.

Don't know that I could recommend a Rift S over a Quest 2 right now. Facebook are basically cutting support for it, and if you use the Quest 2 with a Link cable, you're still getting a very good tethered VR set up, plus you have a headset that can also work with a library of untethered titles.

I'm only going to be using it tethered with the PC though and I don't want to login to Facebook every single time. Reviews seem to say Rift S is still a better experience tethered than Quest 2 tethered.

I don't know, were it not for the Facebook requirement I probably would go for Quest 2 given the better headset refresh rate, speakers and controller battery life. Can I be bothered setting up a fake Facebook profile though?

You'll still need to use a Facebook account for the Rift S unless you already have an existing Oculus account.

For previous generation Oculus devices, including Quest, Rift S, Rift, Go and Samsung Gear VR:

Everyone who uses a previous generation Oculus device for the first time will need to log in with a Facebook account.
If you are an existing Oculus user and have an Oculus account, you will have the option to log in with your Oculus account and merge your Facebook and Oculus accounts. You can also choose not to merge your accounts and continue using your Oculus account for two years.
You can continue using your Oculus account until January 2023, but you will not have access to social features and some new and updated features. After that, full functionality will require a Facebook account.

Alright you've sold me, just ordered a Quest 2 64GB which is arriving Sunday. Picked up that Humble VR bundle and I'll grab Half Life Alyx now Steam sale is on.
