Keen to hear how you get on with it, kaz. I was looking at the PSVR version but didn't go for it on the basis that I didn't want to spoil my trousers.

I downloaded it earlier but probably won’t play it until after TLOU2. I know how to pick chilled cheerful games.

I've got back into PSVR a bit over the last few days, mainly playing demos and such and trying to catch up on releases I've missed.

I tweaked the settings a bit, measuring eye distance and ensuring it was outputting at 1080p (not sure if it was before, I hadn't checked) and it looked better than I remember. But then I played a few more games and it seems a mixed bag. Tried Everybody's Golf, and it's so blurry. There was a tablet with text right in front of me and I could barely read it because it was a blurry mess. But then at other points in the game - like menus - it looks much better, and some games looks good while others look awful.

Tempted to pick up Astro Bot as it's only £13 at the moment, and I've heard good things about Blood & Truth, which is also £13. Is the latter any good?

Yes, it’s great fun. Nothing much more than a rail shooter (but with a bit more agency), but it feels really good to play.

I suddenly wish there was a VR remake of Dead Space Extraction. I absolutely loved that game, was an amazing Wii shooter.

Installed LambdaVR1 from SideQuest last night along with the HL Gold HD mod files so looking forward to giving that a whirl. Genuinely believe I have too much to play now across all my systems I’m actually struggling :dread:

Just picked up Audica in the Quest sale. If anyone else has it, or just generally wants to add to their (possibly anaemic) friends list for score chasing etc, feel free to add me - Kazanova1980

Anyone with a Quest, please absolutely do not buy that Warhammer 40K Battle Sister game. Not only are the graphics ropey, which you can see from the screenshots, but the animation is even worse, and the gameplay is strawberry floating turd. Like, every mechanic in this was in Vader Immortal, but done infinitely better. It has swords, it has guns, it even has the equivalent of a force push, but all 3 feel like gooseberry fool. Bolters feel flimsy and gooseberry fool, for a weapon that's supposed to be firing ROCKET PROPELLED NUCLEAR CORED BOLTS THAT EXPLODE ON IMPACT, they feel like Nerf guns, and they're so strawberry floating quiet. The power sword is terrible, and the collision detection is garbage. Swinging the sword doesn't seem to make any difference to just pointing the sword at an enemy and moving it sideways. The rosaries that let you force push stuff have all the effect of a hot fart, and you mainly seem to use it to move chairs out of the way slightly. Enemy AI is gooseberry fool, they yell so you know they're there, then run at you in a straight line. They also look strawberry floating gooseberry fool.

Everything about the game is bad. I started the 3rd chapter and decided that was enough, requested a refund.

All the footage I have seen looks terrible. Will continue to avoid.

Anyone tried Myst? It looks really good. I have heard there is no way to take notes whilst in vr at the moment which sounds like it could be a problem.

Tried it via Rookie VRP (Yaaaaaaahahaaaaarrrr) and got to a door near the start with absolutely no way to open it so that was the only time spent with it for me :shifty:

The DrBeef Doom 3 Quest version is available now (Well was yesterday) via SideQuest. You just need a few files from your copy of Doom 3 (Non BFG edition) same as Half Life and Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Loved his port of Doom. Probably no way of ripping my 1X digital files from Doom 3 though.
