does it seem likely it might be active again any time soon?
Just to clarify how this works: the code only works if you've actually been sent the code. There's no set time, but rather it's just something tied to each account (with a specific window of time the code is valid for each time).

Ah, hadn't realised this. I assumed it was just time gated because it was the same code every time.

Ah, one of those. Damn. Maybe I'll get lucky and one will find its way onto my account soon!

I'm now seriously considering getting an Index in the near future. Seeing Resident Evil 4 VR and imagining exploring that world from a completely new perspective is an incredibly exciting prospect to me.
I want a Steam Deck as well though so I feel like I've got to make a choice between one or the other. Unless I go mad and get both.

Shame it's exclusive to Quest 2, then.

That's a bit gooseberry fool
I assumed Index was the AAA of VR and everything would be on it. I had no idea some VR games were exclusive to certain sets

I'm doing that thing I do where I read up all about a thing I want and get myself hyped. Then I start telling my wife about how cool the thing is, not so subconsciously hoping that she agrees and wants the thing too.
I'm convinced that by January I'll have bought myself an Index
Found out yesterday that I'll be getting a little bit of inheritance when my 93 year old, heart diseased grandad dies so, you know, I wouldn't say I want him to die but... I would like to experience Half Life Alyx.

Could not be more gutted that RE4VR isn't on the original Quest or PC. It looks amazing.
Webm with sound at link, can't work out how to embed from gfycat.

I really have to pick this up. I'm just being cheap waiting for a code.

I played and really enjoyed Psychonauts: In The Rhombus of Ruin over the weekend, and thought I was billy big bollocks so just tried Squadrons in VR. Feel sick now.

Facebook are ditching the Oculus brand name, as part of their recent weird rebrand.
https://www.eurogamer.net/amp/2021-10-2 ... ge-to-metaBeing able to log in without a Facebook account is a good step, but I can't help but feel like they're still going to tie future headsets to this metaverse nonsense in some way anyway.
The sooner someone else can come out with a good performing wireless PC VR headset the better.
