Arizona Sunshine is pretty good. The shooting is great; I’ve looked down the sights on the Aim and head-shotted zombies from really far away. You can shoot off limbs and chuck grenades into hordes with great effect. Very satisfying.
I’ve gone for walking controls rather than teleporting, but you still need to use the other stick to quick-turn 90 or 180 degrees as enemies can come from all angles and navigating the levels requires it tbh. Works well though.
Only issue is opening stuff like drawers or car boots; I read that Aim support came after the game’s release and as such some things seem like they’d work better with a couple of Moves to actually grab stuff.
Anyway, £9.50 in the PS Store sale instead of £33 is a great price if you’re looking for more stuff to play on an Aim you’ve bought.

Played and completed Batman. I enjoyed it but it's very short.

Hope there is a follow up and Combat introduced, but still
I was BATMAN.

Have any of you seen the 3drudder that's going to be released for PSVR soon? It looks good for games when you're seated and can free up movement that was needed via the move controllers.

I'm not sure if it will remove that feeling of immersion for some games and a lot of what I own I have preferred to stand so not quite sure if I'd use it.

In fact so far I've only sat for Until Dawn Rush of Blood and Headmaster.

Been playing/trying a few things recently:

Stat Wars Battlefront VR - As most have said previously, short but very sweet. Had a blast and can't believe they haven't made a full blown version of this as surely it would sell like hotcakes!

Starblood Arena - Bit too fast and frantic for me. Found it quite disorientating and difficult.

Tethered - Controls well and surprisingly addictive. Only tried the one level but interested to see how the other levels vary things as I could see it becoming repetitive.

Rigs - Fun and certainly less manic and disorientating than Starblood Arena. Need to experiment some more with different mech types.

Apex Construct - Enjoyed the demo of this. The archery feels great so may have to look at getting the full game.

“HTC announces a wireless, PC-powered VR headset called the Vive Cosmos.

Image

the Cosmos is HTC’s bid at a relatively mainstream VR headset. It doesn’t require external sensors and uses fully tracked motion controllers, and it’s being pitched as a convenient device with “absolute comfort” and “easy setup,” intended for either home or mobile use. In a press release, HTC said that it will have “the capability to be powered by more than a traditional gaming PC.”

Ideally they should be announcing a price drop on the original Vive. Start getting the hardware into the hands of more people.

Wireless and higher res is the next step, but they need to start positioning themselves with an entry level model as well as their higher-end ones.

Any idea on pricing or resolution?

This is basically what I want PSVR 2 to be.

Just completed 5-2 on Astrobot. My god that was wonderful. Felt like PSVRs Luigi's Mansion moment. Absolutely spectacular in every way. Sometimes I wish the world were themed, but I can see why they have done it the way they have.

Excellent evening playing Farpoint tonight. It's so immersive with the Aim.
But... My favourite 30 seconds tonight was realising I had a shadow in the game. Don't know why, but it amazed me. I was waving the gun about and shifting my body, loving the fact that I was casting real-time shadows from a virtual sun, on a virtual alien planet, all within my living room.
VR is strawberry floating awesome.

So, I've just got the PSVR and after finally getting it to work (dodgy USB cable in the box, it seems) booted it up to play the free demo and VR Worlds.

My mind is officially blown! I never thought it would be this good. Normally can't stand 3-D type stuff so wasn't sure if this would click. But this is something amazing. Everything just looks so solid and REAL.

I did the shark encounter on VR worlds and it was genuinely terrifying! There is NO WAY I'm doing Resi 7 wearing this

Also, Tetris Effect. It is amazing. The other half couldn't understand why I'd buy Tetris on this - within 10 minutes she was absolutely captivated. I don't know why this works so well in VR, but it just does.

Absolutely amazed with this tech so far

I'm going to say it again. Amazed. It's like witchcraft how this works!

It has to come as standard in the next gen. I know, I know...cost cost cost.

But it really does feel like the future. Imagine something like Zelda with this.

I was drunk when I bought it and was experiencing severe buyers remorse until I tried it, but that's been wiped away completely. I have now learnt to trust "drunk me" and all of his foolhardy decisions.

I've said this to a few people on here now but I would really recommend at least giving Resi 7 a go to see if you can get into it. It's absolutely brilliant in VR, and I'd put playing through the intro and first section of the game as one of my most memorable gaming experiences.

Cherish the first few days with it. I really wish I could go back to the "mind blown" sensation from the first time I played it. :D

The initial shock/surprise wears off a little, but it's still amazing. I did the world 5 boss of Astrobot last night and was laughing out loud at how crazy the whole experience is (the squid on face, the sheer reckless 'in your face' scale of the whole thing). There's no other gaming experience like it!

I would say give the Rush of Blood demo a go. My gf hates scary games but kept wanting another go.

Yeah that feeling was amazing. I get the same sort of satisfaction getting other people to try out vr when they come around, which usually then results in them raving about it all day.
