You'll be absolutely fine to play in single-player mode, Lime. TBH, I haven't even tried the online multiplayer mode myself, yet.

Edit: Actually, I'm not certain that you need PS Plus for the multiplayer aspects... but I assume that you would.

Finally got around to playing Blood and Truth but I'm feeling disappointed.

Apart from still trying to find the best way to play, sitting or standing, and getting my damn machine gun to holster it just feels a bit ....dull.

When sitting in the car there is no body which takes away the feeling of actually being in the vehicle. Same when on the plane, it is like you're a ghost in there with arms only. When jumping from buildings i didn't really get a sense of depth.

Yes shooting enemies whilst strafing is fun but I'm also having issues reloading at times as sometimes it just switches the gun to the other hand instead of loading the cartridge.

The graphics are a bit hit and miss at times through the headset too.

It is all a bit meh and I turned it off.

To think, before the margin PSVR prices I saw this for sale for less than £30 with a game! Prices are way overpriced.

Not quite sure what you mean by that, but if you really saw the AIM controller with a game for £30 it was priced to clear. It was originally released at £75 in the bundles with a game.

I didn’t have any problems in with the controls? May have to recalibrate.

No depth? I nearly panicked when I jumped off a building and had to grab on a container that’s swing towards me. :slol:

It’s one of the best PSVR games, for me. It’s amazing.

Played my PSVR the other night after a few months off following x-Wing-Vomit-Gate, and even just playing Tumble sat down I got the queasy feelings pretty quickly. Packed it away after maybe 15 minutes, just wasn't feeling it at all.

I think I might have broken VR for myself :(

Finally got my Oculus Quest on Thursday :D I'd pre-ordered at the time of release but they were out of stock and I waited a few weeks before cancelling, had decided not to bother but managed to get one with 10% off so I couldn't resist.

So far I'm really impressed with it, my wired VR systems (Rift CV1 and PSVR) are both in a smaller room which is fine for most VR content but a bit restrictive if I want to play more active games. Being able to play in a larger room makes it much better and I was actually able to enjoy playing beat saber (demo) this morning without the fear of putting my fist through my monitor. The screen looks a lot nicer to me than the Rift CV1 and although it's heavier I'm not really finding it to be that much worse than the CV1 for comfort (Although I haven't played for any huge length of time as yet). The controllers feel a little cheaper than the original Touch controllers to me but they're equally intuitive to use. Not having to mess about with sensors is great, I've never had a flawless experience with 3 sensors on the Rift so just having it all work straight away is so nice and I've had no tracking issues so far either.

I'm really glad that they decided to do cross buy for some titles as it's meant that I've already got a few games to play without having to spend anything, I did pick up Vader Immortal though and I'll probably double dip on Superhot VR/Beat Saber as they seem perfect for Quest.

Going to try out streaming from my PC later to see how well it works but so far, so good!

I'm really tempted to jump on to VR, and I think the Quest probably ticks more boxes for me than the Rift. Untethered vr sounds preferable, being able to play on other rooms of the house, rather than in the same room as my PC, and the specs for a standalone piece of kit seem really impressive.

As for the Rift S, while a dedicated PC VR headset would obviously give me more impressive performance, I'd also need to upgrade my PC, and I'm not quite ready to do that yet, as aside from VR requirements, I'm happy with how everything else runs for now. It would be interesting though if I could use the quest to stream to once I do upgrade.

Quest is a fantastic device but don't take the PC streaming into account when buying one. It's still alpha and is very temperamental. When it works it's fantastic but it's best to buy a quest for the quest library.

Quest is a fantastic device but don't take the PC streaming into account when buying one. It's still alpha and is very temperamental. When it works it's fantastic but it's best to buy a quest for the quest library.


Apologies for the late reply Knoyleo, I just spotted this!

I haven't really spent a lot of time with the streaming from PC but so far I'd echo what Rog has said, it's a nice perk and can work really well but I wouldn't make it a major factor in purchasing a quest. From my experience it works better for slower paced games, I tried it with Fallout VR and it worked well, whereas fast paced games based about reaction can be totally broken by it, as I found with Audioshield. It will improve over time though and the faster your wifi connection is I'd imagine the better experience you'll have.

I'd definitely recommend the Quest on its own merits though, it's already building a strong library of games with more to come and untethered VR feels like a huge leap forward. It's a great piece of kit.

It's mad that they haven't done an official full VR version yet. Grab Pavlov now, price is going up soon.
