Oh right, yeah that'll do it

Be aware that the pc approach to vr seems to be just throw more power at it, so a lot of games are really poorly optimised. It's not like regular pc gaming where geeforce 1080 automatically = max fps and resolution. Some games just run like gooseberry fool for some reason (hello project cars 1). Some however run amazingly well but you have to tweak a lot of gooseberry fool to get the best out of them.

Yeah I'm prepared for a lot more jank than I got with PSVR, but at the same time I'm excited to try out some of the stuff not on PSVR and the stuff that would never appear there. The non-game stuff is quite interesting as well.

Grot, you mean. ;)

I'm on world 3 of Astro-bot already. It's truly amazing, I don't want it to end. Does it get more tricky/levels last any longer, or am I really nearly half way through already?

It'll be cool to see what you think of it, Preezy. It has been my fave game in the world of PSVR so far! I'd recommend not rushing through it; play a level, soak it up and take a break before moving on to the next level.

Hey, Lime, it's great that you're experiencing it! As I've suggested to Preezy above, probs best to take your time and wallow in the splendour of a level before moving on to the next one.

I've completed the second world this evening; the introduction of a ride level and a pretty tough Octopus raised the skiil requirement quite a few steps! I struggled a bit with the boss; mainly because I found the tentacles to be tricky to avoid. It took me about six attempts to take him down! Absolutely marvelous fun, though :-) .

Just had my first vomit from VR :(

Bloody Star Wars Battlefront, got carried away in my X-wing and pushed it a bit too far, my own fault really.

I found the Battlefront VR mission to be one of the 'tamer' VR experiences on my stomach really, even though it's still my favourite VR experience.
I don't know how the hell a full game like that hasn't come out yet, it'd do gangbusters.

But yeah, you definitely need to know your limits with VR and when to take a break. As soon as I start to feel even the slightest bit off I just stop altogether and take a long break, otherwise the nausea can escalate very quickly.

I stopped Battlefront VR half way through while I steadied myself. The dizzy/sickness subsided but remained present, I carried on and managed to get through to the end - but as a result it never had the 'most amazing VR experience ever' feeling for me, and I'll not go back to it.

Never push through, it'll end badly. :(

Ryzen 7 2700X 8 Core (3.7GHz-4.35GHz)
16GB Corsair Vengeance 2666MHz RAM
8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080

If not I'll be pissed.

The Steam VR test says it's fine though. My old PC would have cried if I tried to get it to do VR.

You'll be absolutely fine. My 3rd gen i5 with a GTX970 is capable of most things in VR on Oculus with a little setting tweaking, that rig ought to be able to handle anything you throw at it.

It came today and I've been tweaking the set up to get it all working the way I like, but Dolphin is next on my list to try out.

It's cross-platform. Everyone here could have been playing it.
