Cheers H, looks like a Bobby bargain. I've finally found some Move Controllers AND an AIM VR controller in a branch of CEX and weighing up getting one or both.

They do also have a cheaper plastic gun holster thing that you slide a Move controller into. Anyone tried one of these? I'm assuming it doesn't work as well as AIM, presumably due to not having an analogue movement stick.

If you can afford both, then do it, but if it's one or the other I'd go with the Moves. They're used in far more games. Aim is nice, but not essential and only a handful of games support it.

Cheers for the reply. I thought I'd start out with the Move controllers, at £48. Only to be told they were £48 each. And whilst I can afford, it does seem rather steep and caused me to think again.

Why oh why did I trade in my old PS3 ones a couple of years back! Hmm, unless I didn't and they are still in the attic after all...worth checking first, or I'd feel a bit mugged

The feeling passes when you punch someone in the face in VR.

EDIT: Basically get Superhot as well and you'll see why I believe they are so essential.

I can't possibly imagine playing superhot VR without motion sensing controllers, it must be dreadful with a pad.

I don't think you can actually. I think it's one of the ones that needs the motion controllers, like Beat Saber.

I've been sitting here trying to get my head around that since I posted

Weirdly, if you are a Curry's Pc World business customer with a registered account, they had about half a dozen PS4 Moves last time I checked, brand new for £70, plus £10 delivery.

But you can't get them without a business account, as the man in the store helpfully pointed out, along with "I don't make the rules": surely the last refuge of a scoundrel.

So its annoying to be paying £20-30 more for used, unboxed ones. I've even tried scouring less likely places like cash converters - none there either, although they do seem to have the European Kinect Mountain.

If you've made a game that'd be wholly or mainly Move control dependent, you'd have to be a bit peeved with Sony for effectively limiting your potential market by not stocking them better

I might try and make my own using candles stuck on a Wii remote.

Finally caved in and bought some Moves, plus Superhot. They should arrive tomorrow apparently - new ones as well!

Really looking forward to trying these out now. But even if they don't do it for me, they should their sell on value pretty well unless Sony suddenly start making some more - so why not give them a try, was my logic.

And, errm, also that Rick and Morty VR game plus Fruit Ninja. :shifty: Don't judge me.

Not played either of them, but I got the R&M one for Christmas and keep meaning to give it a shot.

Good shout on the moves. Trust me I don't think you'll want to go back after you use them. They bring so much to the immersion it's crazy.

Plus Superhot VR is possibly one of my games of the generation. It's phenomenal fun.

Superhot VR is strawberry floating incredible.

Throwing a gun to yourself, catching it then finishing a scene with a couple of headshots from said gun is pure matrix stuff

Tumble on PSVR is much better with the Move controllers, good clean fun and great for getting others involved.

Well good day, my friend! I hope all is well with you

I'm thinking it must be the best part of a decade.

We are SO old.

And the rest: if I recall correctly, I think you were on a bit of a break from posting (furtively, as I used to imagine, from your shed & fuelled by Wolf Blass) at the time this version of GR emerged from its chrysalis... and that was 11 years ago, it says here.

Despite the encroaching senility, all very well at this end of the porch, thanks. [snip]

Just downloaded the demo disc with this on, so looking forward to giving this a try tonight. As well as the Rez demo.

And thanks again to H for the DIRT link, I've picked that up too now. Also greedily eying up Arkham VR as well.

And there I go again. Only a few weeks into owning this and I'm already building up an intimidating backlog :fp:
