Astro Bot is currently £15.99 on the PSN (or £14.24 if you've got Plus).

As if Virtual Desktop wasn't good enough it now runs SteamVR games in VR.

I've tried it and it's the best implementation so far out the three choices. Plus after seeing how Guy Godin operates I'm sure he'll put in the work to make it as perfect as possible. Quest really is going to be the only headset you'll need. The lack of hype on here is a little puzzling.

I'd say most if not all of us in here have nailed our flags to a particular VR made already, and as they are expensive devices, very few of us give other headsets more than a glance at the moment. Wait until the ones we have really start getting long in the tooth and interest in other headsets will pick up.

Between my PSVR and the Rift I got earlier this year I'm not really too bothered about other headsets right now. Though I am hearing very good things about the Quest.

I can't recall whether you've tried out PSVR before or not, Ad? As you're used to higher-spec VR gear you may find the resolution and processing to be slightly below your past experience, but things like Ocean Dive (part of PS Worlds), Astro Bot and Batman Arkham VR deliver a terrific experience.

There are some incredible PSVR deals around right now and it's great to see folk getting the opportunity to dive in.

PS Move controllers remain almost impossible* to buy, though. I did get some from Argos a couple of weeks ago but my current gaming setup doesn't allow me space to use them.

* at normal prices.

I tried it when they did the roadshow thing before launch, So I know what to expect really. I bought it for the exclusives, so things like arkham vr etc I've already played on pc and with the room scale. Skyrim vr etc I'll also probably pick up on pc at some point for the superior pc experience and sell on the psvr versions.

I own a Quest and PSVR. My best mate yesterday told me he was thinking of buying PSVR.

I did mention Quest to him as worth consideration, but I did not actively try to steer him away from his choice. The library of games available for PSVR makes it a great choice for those who are dipping in to VR for the first time. The limitations of the tracking only really started frustrating me after about 18 months, when the whole concept that all this was possible from consumer kit had started to fade. Roomscale is overrated if you own a cat (which I do, and so does he). You just feel like you are taking a risk with every step.

Bit if you own a gaming PC and no existing VR headset it's probably the best choice. Or if you are just happy to spunk money on gadgets (which is the category I fall in to).

I have also had numerous build quality / hardware issues with the two Quests I have owned. It's sullied the enjoyment for me a touch. Great system though, and I hope it receives strong support going forward.

Unfortunately you can't sell on the Mega Pack game downloads, Ad; you get a single download code which gains you access to the five games as a whole.

VR E3 Conference! I'd heard something about this a month or so ago, but forgot all about it.

Missed most of it, but it's still going.

So Espire, Budget Cuts 2 and Pistol Whip all look great. Need to watch the rest of the show as I missed most of it, but those are some decent looking games.

Some really bad news on that front. Occulus are making him remove support for SteamVR.

Elite Sniper on VR. :datass:

As long as bullet cam doesn't make me chunder, I'm gonna be all over that. Makes the AIM controller a must-purchase, I reckon.

Oh, boy, I really like the Sniper Elite games and a VR version could be amazing! I wonder what movement will be like? It could be tricky to pull off in a VR environment. So keen to try it out, though.

Yeah, the movement is the only thing that I'd be concerned about; If you watch that video there are signs that it's a point-and-click system, and that does worry me a little.

I can only assume there'd be more focus in the game on the sniping, and less on the moving around, reaching waypoints stealthily, etc.

Definitely a game I'll be watching with interest.
