Gorn, Gorn, Gorn, Gorn!

And this video (Based on a much earlier, older build) which is what sold me on it.

His channel is quite good for VR stuff. He's amusing without being too obnoxious.

So Vader Immortal is coming to PSVR in an All-In-1 package, rather than three separate episodes.

Saints and Sinners is out on PSVR. Will be keeping a close eye on reviews to see how well the "tracking" holds up.

Gorn will be released on PSVR on 19 May. With not much else going on at the moment and Cheeky Devlin raving about this if its a reasonable price I think I will pick this one up.

One of its developers discusses the game design on the PlayStation Blog. https://blog.us.playstation.com/2020/05 ... vr-may-19/

I will say that there's not too much more to it than what you saw there. It's a hyper-violent, over the top Gladiator game where you can unlock Wolverine claws and impale people through the face.

It's so much fun. :D

All the feedback on Saints and Sinners suggest its a really good conversion and the tracking holds up, so i think i will be getting that this weekend. Finished Blood and Truth last night (jesus the tracking when holding a gun with 2 hands) and just need to go back to Deracine to finish the last hour or so i would imagine.

To anyone who has played Blood and Truth - did you kill Tony before he started giving his speech? I did and genuinely felt a bit disturbed he was just laying in his seat with a bullet in his head for a bit too long before anything else happened. It was totally deserved mind.

That reminds me, I've got blood and truth but haven't started it yet.

Its not bad, but i think it will probably be disappointing compared to the more fully realised games you have played. It perfectly highlights PSVR's weakenesses (which is unfortunate for a 1st party "poster game") - poor tracking and low resolution. A lot of the impressive vistas are ruined by looking like low res jpegs. Its a shame as PSVR can do immersion really well, but it has to keep things scaled down / back to avoid looking like a YouTube 360° video.

When it does work its pretty great though, in a mindless way.

I've been meaning to dig further into it, but itch.io is a great place to find small experimental VR games for PC.

So I set up my quest at lunch, got virtual desktop and stuff on it and HOLY gooseberry fool. The intro world it takes you to to test things out was insane. Even the room it puts you in is beautiful. It really does feel like you're actually there!

Amazing isn't it :datass:

Just wait until you're completely immersed in a world.

The only thing I'm somewhat struggling with is getting out of VR, because I don't feel comfortable holding the headset while I've got both controllers in my hands and I can't see where the hell to put them down. Maybe I should just pop them on the floor.

I actually went back to Blood and Truth last night to do some of the 5 star challenges (by replaying missions). By forcing you to use a pistol (as its the only weapon that allows accurate headshots and suitably high hit % due to not wasting bullets like an automatic weapon does) it actually highlighted all the best bits of the game - tracking is fine as you are not putting both hands in front of the headset, and liberal use of the precision mode, toggling it on and off as best required.

An added bonus is its giving me opportunity to find some of the missed marksman targets etc (in the mission select it tells you how many you have missed), which in turn should mean i can have a better load out for it i should choose to play NG+ on hard mode.
