Peter Crisp will eat his shoes if people are still using VR in a few years.

They are available at my local Argos for me to order and collect immediately. Which is tempting. Thankfuly they dont have the elite strap (i can see this being a common issue) so it has put me off doing anything foolish.

Jawa - Moss had been ok for me up to this point. I think something went wierd with my PS4 last night, as i had to boot Moss 3 times before it would load. When it did everything was out by about 30° I did a recentre thinking it had resolved it, but i think its one of those games where it only adjusts your height, not rotation. So possibly everything was heavily compromised by the camera position relative to the Dual Shock.

Stumped already :| it won't let me do anything until I've paired with the mobile app, but it simply isn't working. It gives me a code to enter to search for my device, but it fails to locate it every time. I've had to log a call with the support team!

You're on the same WiFi network for both devices?

Fixed – I reinstalled the app and it worked!

Just played Superhot so far and it's great fun, although I accidentally punched my TV at one point. Fortunately it was only very lightly! Need to move into a room with a bit more space for the next session...

Have also got Vader Immortal downloaded ready for some Star Wars goodness later on :datass:.

Its a right of passage. I smashed a lamp playing Sports Scramble.

Hows the comfort of it? Are you using an elite strap or just the standard elasticy fabric one?

Just the basic strap for now but it seems fine, although the longest I've played in one go so far must be no more than 25 minutes. Text is a bit blurry unless I have the headset set up a bit, making it feel a little too high and means I can see the real world down by my nose. Although I quickly forget all about it in an actual game – it's only when using the browser that it is noticeable.

I did find myself wondering how people cope with the original model being twice as heavy. It might just be that at such a low weight it doesn't really make a difference, but I can certainly feel it there and I imagine double the weight would be quite uncomfortable.

What kind of file sizes are we looking at for your average Quest game?

It's not half the weight is it? My Quest 1 I can use, it's a bit uncomfortable but I've used it 5 hours in a row once due to my portable battery. Hopefully if it's not that bad then I can last until I get the elite strap in the mail.

It's about 80g heavier. I have a 300g counterweight on the back of my Q1, so mine really is twice the weight! Wayyyy more comfy with the weight being redistributed as such though.

Oh fair enough, I swear I read the other day it was roughly 500g compared with 1k. I did think it seemed a bit nuts!

Finished Vader Immortal and the main mode of Superhot.

Played Red Matter for a while. I didn't feel motion sickness at first, then just as I was coming to a point where I thought I should finish for the day I felt it coming on and it has seemed to actually get a little worse over the half an hour or so since! I feel strange even just walking around my house now.

Not ideal... hoping I build up a tolerance to it.

I really want to buy some VR Lenses so I don't need to wear my glasses, but I can't figure out my IPD. If I use the 68mm setting on Quest 1 and Quest 2 it seems ok, but if I try and measure I think I'm closer to 70 and I'm worried if I splash the cash and pick the wrong IPD it's going to be a waste of money. If I think I'm around 70 and I get 69 that should be fine right?
