When you're hot you're hot!

I'm hugely excited to say I and lots of talented people have got a Saturday night singing show away, and I couldn't be more delighted! That makes it three shows commissioned in about four months, its absolutely crazy.

Drumroll please – the BBC will trial a new Saturday night entertainment series which isn’t being hosted by Mel Giedroyc. Which is a rare thing these days.

And while it does involve singing, there isn’t a panel of four judges which means it isn’t another X Factor , The Voice or Let it Shine.

So congratulations to comedian Rob Beckett, who will present the six-part series All Together Now, due to hit screens next year.

Each episode sees a range of solo and group performers perform in front of The 100, an audience of great singers with big voices and opinions.

If any of The 100 like what they hear, they stand up and join in. The greater the number that stand up and sing along, the higher the contestant's score. To be clear – if you start off as a soloist and end up the same way, things haven’t gone well.

Some of The 100 will be famous faces while others are members of the public, all with singing credentials. The makers claim that tough crowds don’t get any tougher.

In the grand final of the programme, from the makers of Pointless, two performers will compete to win a big cash prize.

Remarkable Television boss James Fox, explains: “This isn’t the search for the next big pop act - instead we’re looking for performers from all kinds of musical backgrounds and with all levels of experience who think they can give that brilliant performance to get The 100 on their feet and singing along. We can’t wait to bring this uplifting, funny and inspiring new format to Saturday nights.”

Rob tells us: “If, like me, you’re the sort of person who likes to belt out a tune in the shower then I’m pretty sure this is the show for you. If you’re the sort of person who likes to belt out a tune in the shower while another hundred people join in... then firstly, how big’s your bathroom? And secondly this is definitely the show for you!”

He adds: “In my opinion, All Together Now is going to be the best thing to happen to Saturday night since they invented Sunday morning...”

Good on yer.

Explains all the 'what do I think of Rob Beckett?' market research I've had to do these past few months...

That's not even sarcasm.

That'll be the title of his fourth show. Clearly pilfering ideas from here.

Rob Beckett is the best thing about the show. I'm very happy hes doing it.

I think February is when its launching.

Also worth noting....we are less than one week away from 'Richard Osman's House Of Games' which starts on Monday at 6pm on BBC2.

It really was. Really subverted the genre.

It never had a true 'Zig Or Zag' moment, but the overall product was indeed superior.
