I'd urge you to try House Of Games because it's not really the same old gooseberry fool. We very much tried to not make it that.

With insider knowledge, why is every gameshow mostly celebrities these days? is it because studios don't want to risk people not tuning in?

In the case of ROHoG it has to be celebs for the show to function.

In the case of other shows it helps people tune in and brings more success in general (if not always). That's really the only reason for it. Ironically we are becoming far closer to something like Japanese TV which is super celeb heavy because the money/budgets are lower.

For me it's quite frustrating. I have no interest in celebs because most of the ones typically cast are either stupid or devoid of personality. The reason I really loved the first few seasons of Big Brother UK was because they cast regular people, all with real personalities, that weren't over the top.

That said I appear to be in the minority, everyone seems to love watching these Z-lister types that grace the pages of rags like The Sun, like that tart from Geordie Shore.

Well Big Brother is massively tanking because of that move so it's not working across the board. It's becoming far less effective.

Dirty question - Are you making lots of money from this? Or does a production company own the rights?

So All Together Now got it's first teaser trailer after the Strictly Final. That's a real push from the BBC!

So it all starts tomorrow. My first ever Saturday night primetime show. I'm very proud of all the team that have helped bring the idea to life, and I hope you'll all enjoy it as well.

After the abomination that is “Wedding Day Winners”, I am not watching anything the BBC put on a Saturday night.

Nah, Rob Beckett has burned all his bridges after that wedding shite. He deserves zero support.

You know what, I'm going to say this not to promote my own show but to defend him.

He is one of the nicest most down to earth people I have met in TV, and he makes this show what it is. Give him a second chance.

She is on the show yes. Rob Beckett is the host however.
