It's alright overall. A 6 or 7 out of 10 show. The interaction between the leads is good plus a look at the changes in the future and the rarity of sci-fi shows at the moment. The latest episode is a step in the right direction but there's a pretty good chance it'll be cancelled before it gets the chance to develop into anything better.

I thought they'd already cancelled it. Pretty sure some of it has been shown out of order already.

Oh yeah and the latest episode, is it just me, or did the wall come out of nowhere?

@TVMoJoe 4m
Wow: Last night's ALMOST HUMAN drew more viewers (6.4M) than THE FOLLOWING (5.9M). They tied in A18-49 (both did a 1.9 rating)
@TVMoJoe 3m
Also: ALMOST HUMAN doing a better job getting young men to the TV set. It beat FOLLOWING in M18-34 and M18-49.
@TVMoJoe 2m
It seems almost certain ALMOST HUMAN will be back for S2, unless Fox execs just don't like the show for some reason.

Seems like it's doing better than I thought.

They keep talking about a "wall" too

This was posted in the GAF thread on the 15th Jan so we've both missed out on the Wallhints.

They've made light references to "The Wall" since the pilot episode: http://almost-human.wikia.com/wiki/The_Wall

So this is the Song of Ice and Fire world in the future then?

You realise the vast majority of those quotes come from the episode we are talking about.

The previous mentions are all extremely vague. Seems like its a huge thing that really just didn't get mentioned for 8 episodes except for a handful of throwaway background quotes.

My main problem with this show is the lack of an overall story arc, I'm not too keen on the 'crime of the week' format.

The concept of the show is great though but I can't see them being able to avoid the inevitable cancellation.

An ok episode but a poor season finale. Maybe they thought they would get a back 9 but it's a show that has suffered from poor pacing throughout. Some due to episodes aired out of order, some not.

So with the season over, did this ever become more than a cop show with vaguely sci-fi trappings? From what I watched, which was admittedly very little, it seems the world and setting was kinda just there rather than being made a focus, turning it into just another average police procedural.

I think I watched about 7-8 episodes before I stopped acquiring.

It was always "ok", but nothing that ever made me take the slight effort to locate it/keep it on my radar

Towards the end the world got more focus.

I liked the obvious Blade Runner influences.

Fox renewed a load of shows recently and this wasn't one of them so AH is probably cancelled but nothing certain.

Well that's shitty. Just shows how lucky Fringe was.

Is it even worth finishing the season? Got to around ep 7.
