It definitely had a weird fantastical sheen to it but I quite liked the trailer.

People have different levels of how much they want to get spoiled.

I may be way off here but I think this and House of the Dragon will do well within their respective fanbases, but will struggle to hit the same kind of zeitgeist-defining crossover popularity of the LOTR trilogy or Game of Thrones. Each show looks good but I feel the general appetite for fantasy shows or movies is not on the same level as sci-fi, for example. I'll probably wait for Rings of Power reviews but right now, I wouldn't buy a subscription just to watch it (as I did for Obi-Wan).
