Amazon Luna - Cloud Gaming Service.

You can play Amazon Luna via Amazon products like a Fire TV, and other devices like your smartphone, Mac or PC. It's possible, though not confirmed, other Amazon devices like Fire Tab HD tablets, will be eventually compatible too, as Amazon looks to make sure its family of products all work cohesively.

Some games confirmed for Amazon Luna include Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Control, Two Point Hospital, Sonic Mania and Yuka Laylee. Those are just some of the games Amazon confirmed for the service, but there will surely be more.

New games, like Valhalla, Immortals: Fenyx Rising and Far Cry 6, will be available on Amazon Luna as soon as they're launched, as it seems Amazon has started a partnership with Ubisoft that will likely extend to more games.

I'll not be happy if someone runs passed my house and turns over my TV to their game.

I'm already more interested in this than I ever was in the Stadia just because it has a better pricing model.
And it actually has games...that's a good step up.

But I'll still wait to see if it actually works properly, but being honest I can't really see myself getting it over/alongside a PS5 unless it has some really solid exclusives.

Does the official press release actually misspell Yooka-Laylee like that?

EDIT - Should have read it better, it'll be some news site.

I don't see much of a market for these streaming services which require more of an investment than a simple tablet or device, but without offering the service of a full blown home console. Who is this aimed at, casual gamers looking to upgrade from Words with Friends, but not wanting to pay for a full games console? But good luck to them though, if it expands the market then surely it's good for gamers everywhere.

That's a nice switch pro controller colour scheme.

Yeah, it's another site, not the official blurb. I was getting ready to something else when I posted this so grabbed info from a site. I was surprised.no one had posted as I posted this at least 2 hours after the announcement.

I tried PS Now for a second time recently after trialling it when it first launched. It was horrendous, the lag was just insane. My only previous experience of streaming games was that Onlive service years ago, I which actually seemed pretty acceptable for the time.

I still don't think we are anywhere near where these streaming services can gain mass appeal. I have a pretty decent Internet connection and it never seems to work acceptably for me.

Maybe Amazon can finally be the ones to get it to work. I'm surprised Netflix aren't looking to put something in place. But otherwise, I think for the next few years at least, Gamepass style services where you download the games are the way ahead. If Microsoft eventually merge that with Xcloud, I think they will be the front runners.

I think collectively we have no real interest in this sort of thing so it'll soon be forgotten about like stadia (I assume thsts still going).

They would have to invest/loss lead in it like MS are doing with GamePass for people to take notice now.

The only games I'm hoping to see are the Total War games and Baldurs Gate 3 if there isn't a console version.

Have they said if Prime people will get any discount?

Xcloud and PSnow, for me have a little input lag, nothing much. Stadia if it has input lag I ain't noticed it.

I've tried most of these services as they've come along: OnLive, PS Now, X Cloud, Stadia. They all have too much lag for me to make it worthwhile sadly. I can't see this being any better although at least the payment model for it makes more sense that Stadia!
