I haven't heard that! As the only person on this forum to recognise Armageddon as one of the best movies ever made, hearing Affleck go in on it is both hilarious and blasphemous. I'm conflicted. :|

Not just the forum, possibly the world.

I think David Cameron is a fan, I seem to remember him having two copies in his DVD collection.

Did he have any other movies that stood out to you, and how come you were round his gaff?

He gave a talk on media from his front room once. His DVD collection was in the background. I think Charlie Brooker pointed out he had two copies.

Thank you for your explanation although I wish i never read it, I kinda liked the idea that someone on the forum was hobnobbing with the Camerons!
It's taken me down a rabbit hole here. He also had 24.

I can't believe Alex died of a stroke.

I am now wondering if the final book is being delayed to just before the final season.

Watched it last night; thought the final ep was a bit of a damp squib tbh. The final 5 mins were good though, whereby it sets up the next season.

Everyone else prob already knows this(!), but spotted this earlier - 'The Expanse may not actually be “canceled” after season 6. Think of it as more of a pause, say the authors'.

Apparently there's a 20-30 year time jump after the book the next season's based on, which leads me to wonder if they're going to take the time to go over some spin-off shows for characters like Ashford while the principle actors age a bit.

“Alcon [Television Group] — our studio — is very committed to the IP,” Franck continued. “They have lots of plans. We’ll see what happens after that. But, we will have a satisfying story to the TV arc in the sixth season.”

Spin-offs seem likely.

Loved season 5 of The Expanse.

It was only after reading it in here that I realised they killed off Alex  Looking up the reason why, I can see why they did it and why it was hard to miss. :dread:

Yeah I'm looking forward to it. It's a decent book series and a TV show ought to cut out a lot of the boring stuff!

Apparently the first series is book 1, some of book 2 and the prequel book. They need to cut out a lot because they're not going to be making 15 seasons and there are like three books in a row where nothing happens.

Just found that The Suicide Squad is available to rent via Amazon's "Home Premiere" line.

You wouldn't think it to look at the app though. No mention of it in the banner or anywhere on the front page. It's not even advertised in the weekly newsletter they send out.

Really bizarre. As far as I'm aware, this is our first chance to see it outside of a cinema in the UK. You'd have thought Amazon would've been pushing hard for people to watch it.

It's available to rent on Amazon, Apple TV, Sky Store, Chili, Microsoft and Rakuten TV.

To be fair they could cut the first half of book 6 out and it would be better off. Cut straight to the mental space battles.

I saw people complaining about Bobbie being sent on a mission of her own, it's like what happens in the book ffs.

Hopefully 6 episodes will make for a tight story but strawberry float, why, why so short?

11 promo images
Six episodes
Premiere December 10
Weekly drops — which puts the final episode airing January 14
Will integrate elements of Book 6, Babylon’s Ashes, and the novella Strange Dogs (which, uh, is really related to the plot of Books 7-9)
No word on plans beyond Season 6 and the potential adaptation of Books 7-9 — yet

https://beratnasgas.wordpress.com/2021/ ... t-details/

I would think that any Strange Dogs content will be at the tail end of the season, the epilogue to the season 1-6 arcs.

Also, Clarissa looks like the new pilot. :shifty: I'm not unhappy with that decision.
