Parks and Recreation is on there as well, which is fantastic. I've got the Collection on my watchlist too, but I think it'll just depress me seeing Jeff from Coupling in a serious role.

Yeah exact same point as you, really enjoying it glad I gave it a go. Going some places didn't think it would, look forward to blasting the next few.

Just got the last episode to look forward to tonight. Hope this wraps up the current story and that there is a 2nd series.

Finished Goliath last night. Very enjoyable series with a very satisfying ending. No word on whether there will be a series 2, but I'd certainly be up for more.

Amazon Prime Video will be showing 20 live Premier League games per seasons between 2019 and 2022

Hopefully they make it an additional subscription rather than increasing the standard Prime cost for those of us intelligent enough to have no interest in football.

For a lot of people Amazon Prime is something you subscribe to for a particular show and end up staying either because you've found more shows you like or just can't bother unsubscribing.

I stay mainly for the free movies and Walking Dead.

Hopefully they don't make it an additional subscription or increase the price

It's either...

A. A ploy to simply gain more subscribers to their current service that won't mean a price increase

B. The start of what will eventually result in them gaining more and more games, becoming a serious competitor for Sky/BT resulting in a price increase or reduction of other content.

Surely with the cost of the games, they'll have to make it an extra payment?

They’ve said it will be available to Prime subscribers at no extra cost.

Amazon want to attract people to Prime and they will take an initial loss in order to get people signed up. Their hope will be that once people are signed up for Prime, they’ll spend extra money buying things from Amazon.

Yeah I can't see this resulting in an increase in cost to Prime - as Moggy says it's just one of many baubles they've popped on top of the Prime package to hook people in.

I imagine Amazon have plenty of data that shows that once they convert people to Prime they start to generate more revenue from them through other streams - I for one can testify that I buy a gooseberry fool load more stuff via Amazon now than I ever did before having Prime!

I'm pretty happy with this result and will probably try and watch some of the games.

Exactly, the large US companies like Amazon can afford to take a short term loss while they get their hooks into the UK TV market in a way that the likes on BBC, ITV and Sky can't.

There's an emerging younger generation who know nothing but Amazon, Netflix and YouTube, once this becomes the mainstream then we'll see prices really go up.
