I'll add it to my list, although best Amazon who for me is The Expanse followed by Preacher which is going to take some beating.

It's so different to those series, I feel nervous comparing them though! I think if you like Avengers but are a bit tired of how schmaltzy it has become, you'll enjoy it. It's basically what it would be like if super heroes actually existed.

Plus it has Karl Urban in probably his best role, so that's always a winner.

His accent in it is terrible though. It's meant to be a cockney accent, but his natural New Zealand accent is still there so it ends up being a mash-up of the two.

The Boys S2. Homelander is so dastardly. I loved the character.

I hope Season 3 is coming.

Karl Urban's Billy Butcher, up there as one of his top 2 roles he've ever done.

I need to give The Boys more of a shot, watched the first episode of season 1 a while back but it didn't grab me

Best comparison i can give for the Boys is its Watchmen if it was written and directed by Sam Raimi. Its got that 'who watches the watchmen vibe' but with buckets of gore.

Yeah, I’m intrigued to see it, his Man in Japan show was quite enjoyable. I heard somewhere Clarkson has a show on him doing farming coming at some point.

I'm pretty sure Season 3 is already confirmed.

I think there's a spin off series confirmed as well, but not sure what the focus of that will be.

I normally see it on Techradar, they do the roundups on Amazon Prime, Netflix etc at the start of the month.

JustWatch is a good app, you can search for any film or TV show and it tells you everywhere its available, although I'm not sure if it includes upcoming releases.

That’s going to be useful, thanks! I’ve been wanting to watch The Shield as it’s meant to be good, stumbled across by complete fluke on All 4 the other day...whilst binge watching Gogglebox 8-)

Its also similar to a series of books (Reckoners) by Brandon Sanderson about a group of vigilantes fighting against a ruling class of tyrannical superhumans who have caused society to collapse.

A lot more graphic though.

JustWatch is amazing, but it doesn't tell you upcoming shows or films unfortunately.

The Boys is easily Amazon Prime's best show. :datass:

Preacher does not count as an Amazon Prime show as it's AMC. Primer UK just has the broadcasting rights here. Whilst I only saw a few episodes of The Expanse, it wasn't originally a Prime show either so it only half counts like Lucifer only half counting as a Netflix show.

However even if both somehow counted, they still wouldn't overtake The Boys as best Prime show. :datass:
