Whereas if you are a content producer who is sat on a new big budget movie with literally no way to make money back on that now or in the near future then you are going to be feeling a considerable squeeze!

Thing is big film studios keep delaying their releases. They seem desperate to cling to the old model of big cinema releases and Blu-Ray/DVD sales before letting their big budget releases hit streaming services.

They've got a valuable asset so they'll want the maximum return for it, but that value and the model previously used to justify it is looking more antiquated by the minute. From the surface level you can see why they would want to cling to the traditional model because it is so well understood, but it just may not be feasible any more, or at least for a while now.

Ultimately financing movies is big business and those who invested in things like the new Bond will be getting very shaky about what kind of return they'll see, and possibly even more importantly right now, when they will see it.

Coming to America is an utter classic but I don't see the sequel being very good in all honesty.

Never got round to watching it myself, but some of you might want to know that series 3 of American Gods is coming in January.

At no point in the last 30 years have I thought Coming to America needs a sequel. The only reason would be if it was entirely centred on Randy Watson and Sexual Chocolate.

I watched the 2 Borat movies one after the other...I know there’s a 14 year gap between them but Sacha Baron Cohen’s accent in the sequel was totally different, just so bad. Kinda sounded like when your mates or your dad used to try it when it was all the rage in 2014.

Oh anyway, I came in here to post my annoyance at the Amazon Prime offering - it seems that every film I want to watch you have to pay for, isn't that what the £7 a month fee is for? It's not even just on new releases, I wanted to watch LotR and it was £5 to rent in HD

Amazon Prime is terrible for not separating out what's included in Prime and what's just available to buy/rent. Even if you go to the "Free to me" section (Which isn't even on every version of the app) then as soon as you watch something all of the "People also watched" stuff goes straight back to mixing up Included/Not Included stuff.

I cancelled my Prime renewal in July yet still have access to everything.
