It doesn't look great from that clip but I liked the books. More worrying is they've announced one of the major roles has already been recasted for season 2 which doesn't bode well.

Eaglemoss has an Expanse ship model line coming out, starting with the Rocinante. 10 inches shorter than the Idea Planet one from a couple years ago, with less detail and no landing struts, but only 25% of the price as well. I think it looks great. Up for pre-order now, expecting to ship in December.

Found a great samurai film thanks to Twitter: Hara-Kiri. Don't watch any trailers. Jump in. (The one on Prime is a remake of a 1962 film. Both are worth watching.)

The Takasha Miike film? Yeah it's great. 13 Assassins from the same director is also well worth a watch. Not quite as OTT as his usual stuff.

That looks pretty tasty. I'm almost tempted to 3D print one for use in my games of X-Wing

I am tempted to get the spangly hardback of Leviathan Wakes tbh.

Love that film. I'm watching Midnight Mass on Netflix at the moment and it's so abundantly clear Mike Flanagan loves King's work.

I really want to watch the first episode of the final season of Expanse but I haven't read the final book and have no idea what might be spoiled. Gah.

I haven't read the last two books so probably won't watch it for a while.

You two do realize that Leviathan Falls takes place long after Season 6, right, and that watching S6 won't spoil any of the book? Or are you referring to Babylon's Ashes?

Leviathan Falls is fantastic, by the way.

Seems a good time to ask, will I be able to go from watching all 6 seasons of The Expanse into reading the last (3?) unadapted books, and be able to follow them?

I'd say so yeah, Alex is still around in the books if that helps, that's the biggest difference. Has quite a good story arc too. With Strange Dogs being adapted into the show I'd be very surprised if we don't at least get a movie based on books 7-9
