I haven't read the last two books so probably won't watch it for a while.

You two do realize that Leviathan Falls takes place long after Season 6, right, and that watching S6 won't spoil any of the book? Or are you referring to Babylon's Ashes?

Leviathan Falls is fantastic, by the way.

I have been burnt before. I refuse to run the risk until I finish the book. Really good so far.

I'm told there's just one episode left of The Expanse with a whole lot of storylines to finish?

I've not read the books so I have no idea how they'll cram so much into even a feature-length final episode. They could do the absolute classic "It was all a dream" ending but I have a feeling that might piss everyone off.

I assume the final episode will be battle heavy?

The final episode if done right will be pretty damn battle heavy, if it follows the book. That part gave off a proper 'helms deep with space ships' vibe. We will see however.

EDIT- The last episode is meant to be 75 mins I think too

If online chatter is popular enough I imagine someone will step in to make the last 3 seasons. With their current track record of Sci-Fi it might end up being Apple.

How about Microsoft for an Expanse - Halo crossover :shifty: .

Rumors abound that the last three books, where some of those plot threads pay off (Strange Dogs, etc.) may end up being turned into miniseries', or feature length movies of some description.

Right now it's all been written as if it's not coming to an end, which I appreciate, because despite the current book being a good stopping point, I do want to see the events of those last books on screen at some point.

If we see the slow zone as an analogous to the warp we could see it as both a prequel to Warhammer 40k and a sequel to Event Horizon

Yep.
I'm slowly watching the main show from the beginning and I'm up to episode 93 of campaign 1.

Is there a way you can tell what’s coming soon? The app is a mess.

The Expanse finale nailed it. Feels like a proper ending, and yet really leaves the threads dangling for the future. And unlike oh I dunno...The Witcher season 2 it actually stuck to the book for the most part. Top stuff.

The ending was indeed amazing.
It left it with a satisfying ending while leaving some things open to return to the story again in the future.

Amazon And MGM Close $8.5 Billion Merger

Amazon and MGM said Thursday that their $8.5 billion deal has closed. The storied, nearly century-old studio — with more than 4,000 film titles, 17,000 TV episodes, 180 Academy Awards and 100 Emmy Awards — is now part of Amazon “and will complement Prime Video and Amazon Studios’ work in delivering a diverse offering of entertainment choices to customers,” Amazon said in its announcement.

It’s early days yet with the deal just closed this morning, but here’s what else could be gleaned about the new entity:

In terms of production, Amazon is excited by MGM’s slate and doesn’t anticipate changes in release dates or on projects that are in progress.
Amazon is not planning to make all MGM content exclusive to Prime Video.
On theatrical, Amazon intends to continue supporting theatrical release, not as a one-size-fits-all proposition but something to be determine case by case.
There are no plans to make changes to the Bond franchise.

MGM’s motion picture group, led by chairman Michael De Luca and president Pamela Abdy, has had a great run recently with Paul Thomas Anderson’s widely nominated Licorice Pizza, House of Gucci and the latest Bond installment No Time to Die. Its library includes titles like 12 Angry Men, Basic Instinct, Creed, James Bond, Legally Blonde, Moonstruck, Poltergeist, Raging Bull, Robocop, Rocky, Silence of the Lambs, Stargate, Thelma & Louise, Tomb Raider, The Magnificent Seven, The Pink Panther and The Thomas Crown Affair to name a few. Standouts in TV, overseen by Mark Burnett, include Fargo, The Handmaid’s Tale and Vikings.

Why can't Amazon design a better interface? It's a total mess, cumbersome and rather bland.

Even it doesn't tell you if a film or TV series is subtitled or not so you have to pick the film/TV episode and see if there is indeed subtitles.

Also confusing me with merging of all other channels that you need to pay extra for subscriptions.

Total crap.
