Someone on ResetEra said they their shipping to the UK for the Analogue Mega SG ($190) was £83 altogether, with £41 for the actual shipping and £42 for customs fees. That, plus them charging in full when you preorder and it not being released for ten months is putting me right off.

Customs charges are fuckong joke, there shouldn't be any charge for a single item for your personal use.

That is insane. They don't seem particularly responsive to pressure from their consumers, so doubt they'll address it.

Okay, so decided I'm going to go ahead preorder today - just the base handheld. I sold all of my GBA consoles at the beginning of the year in anticipation of buying one, so I don't want to deviate on the plan. Have arranged to ship to my father in the US, and paying in USD through Revolut to avoid any extra charges.

Those UK shipping costs :lol:

Cant believe I missed out, been looking forward to this for ages and was willing to pay.

They've announced they'll be doing more preorders at some point at least.

I was pleasantly surprised at the shipping costs too. £35 for dock and console didn't seem too bad compared to what I paid for the Super & Mega NT.

I just wish it wasn't so far away.

So this finally ships next week. Excited to finally have it in my hands some time in the new year.

Pocket preorders go live again on Tuesday at 8am PST (16.00 UK).

And ordered. I don't know if I need one but they're so damn sexy looking that I want one. I'd imagine it'll hold it's value as well so I won't be too out of pocket if I then decide to get rid. No idea what group I'll be in but if it's the third one then I might cancel.

Yeah, I'd love one, too - I still have my GB and GBC carts - but I can't spend that kinda money at the moment. The system looks dang swish, though!
