Pixel 6 arrived Christmas Eve, only just set it up - it's thicker than my old one.
And I'm not use to not having "buttons" on the bottom of the screen

And the volume and power buttons are the wrong way round.
Keep turning the volume down to turn the screen off...

I was surprised how thick it was after my Pixel 2 XL. Gesture navigation took a while to get used to as well. Overall I'm really happy with it and as a bonus my dad was really pleased to get my Pixel 2 after his Nokia started having issues with its battery

Anyone here with an 8 series OnePlus (regular, Pro or T)?

I'm thinking of picking one up as they're still on 'official' sale and half the price of the 9 Pro (and undoubtedly the incoming 10).

Then again, maybe I should hold out a few months for the 10 Pro, which should see the 9 Pro drop in price... meh, who knows.

I'm due a new phone in March and considering the Pixel 6 and Samsung S21 at the moment.

How you getting on with the 6?

I'm in the same boat; my S8+ is on its last legs.

I'm seeing mixed reviews for both the S21 and S21 Ultra. I'm tempted by the latter which would hopefully last me a good 5 years, but consumer reviews don't seem overly positive.

Will wait until the end of next month regardless as the S22 will then be out which should lead to savings, or - hopefully - flawless reviews that will tempt me that way.

I've got an S10 too and been happy with it for the most part. Only thing is I find the camera abit gooseberry fool in any situation other than daylight.

How you getting on with the 6?

I've not had my Pixel 6 as long as Lewis and wasn't originally planning to buy it until I broke the screen on my Galaxy Note 9 (which is probably comparable to an S10) that I've had since August 2018.

The camera quality is by far the biggest improvement between the 2. The photos are stunning! The Night Sight mode makes nighttime photos retain an incredible level of detail rather than getting too noisy / soft looking.

I'm not sure if I can notice the benefits of a 90Hz screen refresh rate but I mostly use my phone as a portable Web Browser / Youtube device.

Battery life is hard to compare, the Note phones were always absolute beasts but like any Android phone, by the time you get to the 3rd year of ownership, you definitely notice it is draining faster but certainly no issues with the Pixel 6 battery so far.

The Magic Eraser feature is very cool but you can see examples of it where it doesn't work perfectly:

It feels faster to use too which I didn't expect to notice given the Note 9 was already so smooth.

Broadly smart phones are no longer leaps and bounds better every 2 years, but I spent £599 a week ago vs £899 in 2018 and have either matched or surpassed the important everyday features I value in a smartphone. Still bitter about losing the headphone socket though!

Just bit the bullet and ordered the Pixel 6.

Allows for better waterproofing, thinner phones, and enables companies to upsell their own Bluetooth buds.

Don't hang about, do they. My Pixel 6 arrived this morning.

Going to take a while to get used to this. Where the F is my multitask button? Why does the screen not respond to light touches? Why is the phone so bloody chunky and heavy?!

I actually can't get over how thick this thing is! If I didn't know better and I was comparing the OnePlus 6 with the Pixel 6 based purely on the feel and look of the devices, I would be convinced the release dates were the opposite way round.

I am enjoying 'free' Google One membership, though. Can spend hours using the additional editing tools on photos of my son . The camera is clearly a substantial upgrade as well, although that shouldn't be a surprise after four years.

I'm ok with the thickness of the Pixel 6 but I am confused as to why there isn't a headphone socket if one of the main reasons for excluding them is for thinner phones. It doesn't directly affect me since my phone isn't my music player of choice but still a disappointing decision for anyone who misses the socket.

Any more feedback on the Pixel 6 after a few weeks? Im thinking about ditching my iPhone for one.

Also, anyone pissed off at the lack of a headphone jack just buy a usb c - 3.5mm adapter.
