I need to set an alarm for ever and eternity on the work phone.

I need it to chime, once an hour at 20 past the hour, for ever and eternity.

I've tried using alarms and countless aps, but non seem to allow this feature. Can anyone recommend an app that will actually do this?

It's not that complicated, it seems very logical to me.

And yes I did try setting 24 alarms on repeat daily at 20 past the hour, unfortunately, the phone can only store 20 alarms. :fp: :fp: :fp:

Just saving the world, brother?

Do you work in a Nuclear Bunker on a remote tropical hidden island?

I often feel like that with my job. Andre will back me up. Once an hour the computer beeps and I have to do a weather observation within ten minutes. Recently the rules have changed, so it’s twice an hour....however!

The computer does not beep at 20 past the hour, the new time for the second observation, because they’ve changed the rules without updating the strawberry floating system. So basically we have to set a constant alarm to remind us to do it ourselves.

If that doesn't work then Tasker will be able to do it but it'll be a more complicated fixed compared to how simple the above looks.

Is there an app that accurately determines battery usage across all apps and features (Bluetooth, WiFi etc) on your phone?

The battery usage stats in the settings routinely fall far short of actual performance, for example right now I'm sitting at 10% battery left, but the stats show I've only used around 65%. Where is the other 25% going? How am I supposed to know what behaviour to change or apps to remove if its not listed?

Just downloaded the latest Android 9. Not a fan of the visual changes.

I quite liked it, was nice to have a bit of a refresh. I’m on an s10+ so using OneUI so it’s not quite the same, but still quite like it.

Buying a new phone next month.... Currently using huawei mate 20 pro.

Was all set to get the Pixel 4 or 4XL but have read reviews of the One Plus 7 Pro which looks good and is a lot cheaper too. Anyone using the One Plus 7 Pro?

I'm not (still on the excellent OP6) but I think the 7T is coming out soon, in case you want to hold out for that?

Just checked and it's announced tomorrow so that's good timing. Love the potential for a phone with an optional 12gig of ram.

I considering the S10 or A50/70. Does anyone have any experiences of these devices? I can currently get hold of an S10 for just over £500 sim free with a work discount and trading in my Nokia 8. Or the A50 and A70 in the £200-£260 bracket.

Obviously the S10 is better phone but I'm concerned about the battery. The A70 in particular has a brilliant looking battery.

The s10 is outstanding, it will last no double for at least 3 years probably 4 without a worry.

I’ve use a Dex a few times on holiday now and it’s bloody handy, you connect a tv to a usb c dock and the phone to the dock and you can use keyboard and mouse and apps in windows and that, we use diff Netflix while away.

I’ve not had any real battery issues, I charge it at night and it’s fine. It has power saver for when you “need” it to last longer.

Thanks I think I will go for that. Seems too good a deal to miss out on. Was hoping to not have to buy another phone for a while, I had pretty much settled on the A70 and was just struggling to justify paying double the price.
