I'm really struggling for a new android phone. I don't want a flagship but want to upgrade from a Nokia 8. I'm not really finding much that I would consider a good enough upgrade to justify the price. I brought and sent back a S10 5g (reconditioned) and A51 as I thought the low light photos were frankly awful. Samsung really need to work on their night sight and low light camera software. Neither could have the Google cam sideway installed as they didn't use Snapdragon processors.

My Nokia 8 with Google cam seems to take as good a photo as a pixel camera, comparing it a pixel 3xl. I've been toying with the 4a but would want the 128gb version as 64gb is ridiculous but I feel the lack of a wide camera on the rear may be annoying. If they were releasing a 4axl then I would probably stump up the extra for it but that looks to have been binned sadly.

Also I don't want a Chinese phone, just to make it harder.

Why not? That's quite a lot of different companies you're writing off there.

I can only see google barring more of them like Huawei from using their services in the future.

That was down to the US Gov, not Google. So unless there's more of an overlap between mobile phone manufacturers and phone infrastructure providers that I realised I would say it's unlikely.

Anyone got any app recommendations for tracking yohr TV watchlist, ideally one that tells you what platforms shows are available on?

Edit: if anyone else was looking for this, the app Just Watch is a great solution for the above.

Gosh, the price of some of these sim only deals is ludicrous

https://www.fonehouse.co.uk/best-sim-only-deals

If you click the Vodafone one on there. It's crazy.

In other news I recently got a 3 Sim card. What a strawberry floating USELESS network.

I've cancelled it.

What’s the catch here because those deals are ridiculously good.

Annoying with the cash back claiming, but a little patience and know how means it’s fine. Just set reminders on your phone for when your bill comes in (think it’s 6 monthly) to claim the cash back.

Has anyone had volume issues with the Galaxy buds? My right earphone had suddenly become much quieter than the left, a little internet search suggests this is quite a common issue but I'm yet to find a solution.

I swear Samsung's build quality has gone down the toilet.

*Edit* Just checked and the warranty is 6 months, I've had them for 6 months and 2 weeks.

Factory reset usually fixes this sort of thing. I have the buds plus and have had to reset once to get the touch pad working again on the right one.

I’d say your right about their build they deffo don’t seem quite as good as they once were.
S10+ has been playing up with launcher restarts and lag in this heat which is proper gooseberry fool.

You can get the Galaxy S10e for £469 on Amazon unlocked at the minute: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07NXVRY66/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_Jwe-EbC661EFX

6gb ram, 128gb memory, fantastic camera, wide angle lens, superior side mounted fingerprint scanner, wireless charging and waterproof. What more do you need in a phone?

It didn't work unfortunately. I just can't believe it's completely broken as it's fully functional other than being quitter.

No it's on bass. That would affect both buds wouldn't it? I lied actually, ambient sound has stopped working on the right bud too.

Yeah they sound buggered. I have the Buds+ if it helps and they are decent other than the needing a reset to get the touched on the right one working.
