I've watched James since he first started and still really enjoy his videos. I'd wager Cinemassacre's close to 2.25 million subscribers on YouTube would feel similarly.

They certainly aren't there for Mike, look at his views...

Now I don't mind Mike, his voice grates a little but I like the banter between him, James, Bootsy etc and I like the artwork he has done for all the title cards.

Episode 150 - Polybius. It's good.

He did a pretty amusing episode recently on Gameboy accessories. I'd forgotten how much crap people tried to market off the back of that thing.

I don't particularly like Mike and Ryan because 90% of the time when I watch their videos on more modern games, I often know more about the games than they do, even when I've yet to play them.

Just reminds me of old screw attack videos where they don't do any research and rely on their lonely fans treating them like 'fwiends'

That being said I like their videos on older games when they actually know what they're talking about, since I was born too late to play a lot of them properly.

I find that the Cinemassacre team in general are hopelessly clueless when it comes to modern games. There’s one vid in particular... Godzilla on PS4 I think where they moan about having to pay for online multiplayer as if it’s something they have only just heard of, it’s as though the last 3 Console generations are a huge blind spot for them.

I've watched a load of his videos but he's not very good. He covers his lack of critical abilities by just screaming strawberry float and gooseberry fool over and over again. He's not actually any good at word play either and gets really repetitive after a few videos. I think the guy is kind of important as he was one of the first people to get into that line of work and he does a serviceable job but he's hardly stella.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

I like the Nerd stuff, but I much prefer James and Mike Mondays, or Mike and Bootsy.
