I know I say this all the time, but I could just about cope with the low rates of getting something genuine and new if Redd actually had a set day to visit your island on, even if it was once every 2 weeks. Redd is probably the main reason I’m still logging 30 minutes a day on this, barring the few days I had away from it after I’d hit a year.

Redd and Gulliver are the two reasons I have left to check in daily, otherwise it's just Saturday night for KK and whenever there is a villager birthday. I'm hopeful I'll finish with Gulliver soon but you can't track the counter so who knows!

Outside of nook mile goals and art for the museum I still need a blue rose and a green mum to finish my flower collection/garden. I don't suppose anyone has one of either going spare? I haven't even begun trying to breed them yet

Gulliver is annoying, but considering the circumstances it makes sense he’s a random visitor, poor lads been shipwrecked  As the de facto day to day leadership on your island you could easily have access to a permit to allow X visitor to explore or dock at the island on a given day of the week. Obviously Nintendo just want people playing this as long as possible which is why they probably won’t introduce anything like this, but on Wild World you could set the day Redd arrives, in City Folk/LGTTC he just had a shop in the shopping district (I think it did have opening times and stock refreshed every so often unlike the Nook shop). In fact that was a really neat thing in Wild World, you could get insurance to cover Redd’s fake art pieces

I’ll have a look for a blue rose next time I load it up, definitely not got a green mum as I don’t actually recall planting any of those flowers.

What's up guys I'm looking for some help!

I have a free plot and I'm going for a full penguin island and only need a couple more to complete it!

I'm on the look out for either Cube, Friga, Gwen, Iggly, Puck, Tex or Wade. If anyone has one of them in boxes today I'm happy to pay or make a donation!

I've a few green mums I can send your way later.

Received the Scenic painting last night, really appreciate it.

And going by what RKN dug up from the wiki, I reckon our best chance of completing our respective art exhibitions is by doing exactly this.

Plants can't be posted so it'll have to be an island visit, but I'll happily open up when you are free for this!

Haha sadly it's not as I decided on a penguin island after I named it!

I've been after gwen for ages. We have Tex but I'm still trying to get his pic before letting him go at the moment. If he's ever in boxes I'll let you know!

I had Redd yesterday, of course he had a famous painting, jolly painting and wistful painting in stock. Can't even be bothered checking if they are real now :fp: The one thing he had that I needed, a warrior statue, was of course fake!

EDIT: Just checked the wiki

"Each time Redd visits, there is a 20% chance for a piece of art not donated to the player's museum to be forced to spawn. "

Great

Also the rules on which villagers can gift art are really weird. Only male villagers can at all apparently...?

It's utterly stupid. I've completely given up on the game as attempting to complete the museum just seems futile.

Sure, I shall open up my gates then! Is there anything I might have that you are trying to get hold of?

If anyone else has a spare blue rose now would be the perfect time... :toot:

A brief poke around your shop will do just fine. :toot:

It's a tad complicated. You might want to check this guide for all your hybrid needs.

I myself have been trying to spawn blue roses for such a long time, but I've only had two hybrid reds spawn so far.

No.

But only because the series has made so little iterative progress in that timeframe.
