Part of what I enjoyed about AC is adapting to what you are given. I was one of the weird people who liked the grass fading as you could create natural pathways based on routes you would take around the island.

What do you think this is, Death Stranding?

Pffft. Kojima wishes his writing was as good as Animal Crossing.

I'm curious if Nintendo Items will return and how we'll get to collecting them. I'm assuming they'll be brought with Nook Miles. But that makes them a little less special so maybe they might just be rare items again like in Wild World.

I ended up with like 5 Mario karts and 3 Arwings so would prefer to buy direct.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

perhaps nintendo themed items will be connected to amiibos, they did say they were planning to add more amiibo characters post launch which i would guess perhaps the zelda and splatoon villagers who may bring the items with them, auto unlocking them in the catalogue or something

Just clocked one of my comments to the E3 reveal video. Have to eat humble pie on this one, the game looks absolutely stunning. The colours are so vibrant and they've really gone to town (pun unintended) with the lighting effects. One of the nicest looking games on the Switch for sure.

Yeah, it's easy for one to think "AC graphics haven't really changed" but when you compare 'em they sure have improved; the styling has remained consistent by the quality and little additions have really ramped up. I love the look of this latest iteration.

I would argue this is the first time the visuals are genuinely impressive and more than just functional.

I like how they decided screenshots of different places in different seasons would make for the best comparison

Has it been confirmed if we can clean our toilets as well? I bloody love doing that in real life so to do it in AC would be amazing!

I hope the game features actual ironing that you have to do with the Joy-Con.

Its crazy looking back at how bad wild world looked. I ADORED that game and New Leaf and Wild World looks like utter gooseberry fool these days.

New Horizons looks beautiful though :D
