Should I bother offering the perfect painting to people or should I assume we’ve all got one at this point?

I’m not so sure I have, I’ll jump on it shortly and have a look! I’ll have it if I haven’t added it to my museum already!

Direct today at 3pm today as well! :toot:

Forgot the direct was today, thanks for the reminder!

And sorry fisher, I was busy when you asked. I don't think we've met in game so I can't just send the blue laptop.

Is there anyone who has met fisher in game I could send it to to be sent on?

Never assume!

(But yeah I've got that one)

I'm one of the few who have encountered them and I'll happily pass it on - especially as I'd like to catalogue that colour of laptop myself as well!

Let's see... What completely unrealistic expectations can I place on this Direct that everyone would like but will never happen?

Ah, yes. Expanded Nook Miles Tours that offer larger islands to explore with a lot more diversity, with special ones also thrown into the mix that allow you to meet previous special characters who have yet to be included in the game.

I'll be content with whatever we get, even if small. This game clearly isn't their focus any more, but hopefully they want to end major support with a bang.

If we’re very very lucky we’ll get an update this October or November and then one on the 2 year anniversary next March, wouldn’t surprise me if this was the last major update though.

I’d just like something else to spend Nook miles on! I’ve ‘only’ got 420k (dare say a lot of people have a lot more, but I’ve not even been trying to amass them for what feels like over a year now), at the minute the only thing worth spending them on is Nook Miles tickets, even then only when you’ve got an open slot on your island.

I broke 777k miles yesterday, which I noted for the number

Savable island layouts (or even just multiple dream snapshots) so I can save my current one and make something completely new without losing the original completely.

Your idea of expanded tours would also be great and definitely won't happen

Being able to create a new island design would be ideal, I’ve thought once about flattening mine and essentially starting again creating a more faithful TTYD inspired island but once I thought about it I just couldn’t be bothered  Being able to basically design your new island on paper and then get it implemented overnight would be almost too perfect for them to put in so it’ll never happen sadly.

The additions are pretty nice to be fair. A lot of people will be happy.

All the missing characters are back. This might be enough to get me to dive back.

Gyroids now. This update literally has everything.

No way can anyone be disappointed with this. The video is still going. It's just new thing after new things, no filler. I am very happy right now.

As I type - placeable ladders! Navigating tight spaces!

I cannot keep up

EDIT: Version 2.0 no kidding. Not even mad about this being the last major update, it looks huge

EDIT 2: And then there is still more, paid DLC which legit looks brilliant

Think they were holding back the free content until the paid DLC was ready to try and draw everyone back in?

A sequel to Happy Home Designer, as a paid DLC is a good idea

So, is this now a good time to play Animal Crossing?

This paid DLC is basically Animal Crossing The Sims with set objectives and I am very down with this

I don't think it's a huge exaggeration to say the paid DLC is almost a sequel
