The only thing really missing from v2 is a shop upgrade I guess. I can live with that as the tradeoff

2.0 goes live 5 November, I'd say so!

EDIT: Oh what the paid DLC launches 5 November at the same time?? I assumed this was coming later!

And it's included in the NSO expansion pack, that's a curveball

Wait, what if you don't want the DLC for AC and want the expansion pass, are they still expecting people to pay £34.99

Definitely going to need to do some island redesign now anyway, what with farming being a thing!

If I'm reading the pricing right, the expansion pass is great value if you want to play Animal Crossing DLC and terrible value if you don't.

Whoo... this is certainly an expansion. So much new stuff to enjoy, and that paid DLC is pretty much Happy Home Designer rolled into the main game, and I love it. Partitions bring so much into the design of rooms, as do the ceiling enhancements and wallpapering just a single side of the walls. And we can even design the homes of our residents when we get enough experience. Well done, New Horizons team, you've blown me away with all this new content.

And I do wonder if the paid DLC for this game being a part of the Switch Online Expansion Pass means other DLC will also be available through it. Would make sense.

Typical, made myself a cuppa before this started and ended up dragging a jar out alongside the milk :fp: So yeah I’ve not watched it yet and this sounds like it was a great Animal Crossing direct! Will be watching it ASAP!

Also, if you get the DLC via the expansion pass route but then let your NSO sub lapse in a year, do you then lose access to the DLC?

For £34.99 I am going to need more than just N64 games  I may play AC but I won't consider the DLC

Their pricing is bonkers

They need to put more DLC into it to justify it

£35 is fine by me honestly. I will happily pay that for Paper Mario alone. quite a bit of new content here, might make me get back into it a bit, for a while anyway. create a farm area.

This is amazing! The farming is going to be nice and peaceful unlike I found Stardew Valley which seemed to not give you anywhere near enough time to, well take your time

They just keep adding more don’t they, as a final update this is looking superb :toot:

At that point I was thinking, damn, not only did we get Brewster like we knew was coming, but Kapp'n as well, and to top it all off Harv's island with all these other NPCs!

And then it kept going

By the way, Redd was there on Harv's island. Those art collections might just get finished yet...

I was delighted when I saw Kapp’n, his music is a great piece to listen to!

DLC too!!! The only thing that’s not been there is a shop update, which I thought would have been an almost definite really, even more so with the new items coming in making them even more sporadic in appearance…..

I hope we can use the home design options seen in the DLC in our own houses, the partition walls and counters are neat.

They should have made the new sub £26.99 a year and rather than give you AC DLC just let you get discounts on certain Nintendo products (For example, AC DLC is £22.49 out right or if you have the top sub it's £16.99)

Forcing people to subsidise the AC DLC just to play N64 games is just a ridiculous idea  just when you think Nintendo are doing good they throw a strawberry float up like this at ya

Yes we can use them in our own houses! This is going to become a right time sink again isn’t it  Probably just as well I’m not getting anything else on Switch expect the Pokemon games in November and January!

Just finished. That was amazing
