I know you can hang things like the formula 1 outfit on the wall, but I want to have my complete samurai set on display - is that possible?

It comes across a bit chibified but you can place a top on the floor in front of a wall and then a hat on the wall behind it so it clips through. Far from perfect but best you can do I think

Or just hang it all up on the wall I guess?

Looks worse because clothing hangs flat against the wall while headwear gets displayed on a mannequin head on a plinth sticking out of the wall, with a gap between the two. If you place the clothing on the floor it will be on a mannequin, and the headwear on the plinth can be placed so the plinth is almost hidden clipped inside the clothing so there is no gap between clothing and mannequin head.

...if that makes sense

Either way it sounds lame, don't know why they don't have the option to purchase mannequins. I want 2 samurai warriors flanking the entrance to my house, dammit! :x

Looks like I'll just have to demolish and rebuild it.

That's 238,000 bells Nintendo owes me.

She stays until you enter a building or reload from the title screen.

Finally had Gulliver turn up again today. Played it every day since release (109 and counting), and I've encountered Gulliver on 7 of those days. Will they ever fix it, or are they *trying* to force people to time travel or get in on the stupid reddit black market to try and get a full set of items?

So the whole "visitors who don't appear one week get priority the next" is utter nonsense

The priority is an increased chance for the next week only, not a guarantee. 7 visits in 109 days (15 weeks) is just under once a fortnight, so I don't think that's actually far off the average. There are 5 non-guaranteed visitors and only 2 spare days every week they can appear on. That's 31 days of those 109 to divide between the 5, which would be an average of about 6 visits each. Gulliver should be higher because there would have been more chance of him in the early game, but yeah - you've not been particularly unlucky.

Leif is a complete waste of a guaranteed visitor slot, it doesn't take long to cycle through all of the shrubs and flower seeds (I have a full set in storage now) and the better weed selling price is pretty academic.

I wish Kicks would just move into the able sisters too

It's just so badly done. There's no reason to have some villagers as guaranteed weekly visits because then it just means there's even less chance of others turning up. Either have them all random/with priority or have them all on a schedule OR (heaven forbid!) allow multiple visitors to turn up on the same day :x

I had CJ turn up yesterday despite him being guaranteed to turn up on Saturday anyway for the tourney!

It's just a bit irritating that the only people who are ever going to "complete" bits of the game are going to be the ones who just nip onto reddit and go "can I have pirate outfits for nmts pls"

I do think Kicks, Leif and maybe Labelle (once you’ve done so many fashion checks, in fact I’ve not seen Labelle in ages now, not that I’m fussed about her compared to some of the other visitors you can have) should all move into other shops, Kicks and Labelle in Able Sisters (maybe they still turn up once a week, but in a dedicated area of the shop? Labelle can sell her range from here once a week like Kicks does) and Leif should move into Nook’s Cranny, again maybe a sectioned off area that he still turns up once a week but none of these would have to impact the other people appearing on the island.

The worst offender for this will be Gulliver, now there will be two sets of items to get and at the rate he appears if’ll take ages to get everything from him :(

I also had CJ yesterday, and I think that was the only "random" visitor this week because KK will be moved to Friday to accommodate for the fishing tourney on Saturday.

At least Wisp is easy, I'm on a three day streak with him at the moment!

Can anyone craft me a campsite sign? I’ve got one for my island but got a friend who’s asked where I got it from and when I looked it wasn’t an item you could buy and I’m yet to get the recipe for it, will obviously provide the items needed for it :)

the thing about the weekly visitors is that they are the ones who used to have shops and could be seen daily, i imagine the frequency of their visits is to make up for it
