Go on a mystery island tour and pick all the flowers, break all the rocks and cut down all the trees other than the palm trees. Then run around the beach and chase off any bugs you don't want - should give you a frequent spawn rate on the trees. It's still a rare one mind.

I thought you might say this

I do if it’s still available. I have a few on my living room wall so do you need any and I can check if I have them.

Think there’s also a spare Ancient Statue too in the living room.

I've managed to catch it a few times on my island.

The Golden Stag was the one I waited for a while to catch it.

Can I have the Ancient Statue please OR? I’m just glad other people are getting Redd visiting, been ages since he last visited Keelhaul with anything genuine! Even duplicates

Redd should take Leif's spot as a guaranteed weekly visitor

It still irks me that you can’t decide which visitors can arrive on each day (barring Gulliver of course), could easily have it that you can select which characters have an island pass/permit for what days, so selecting Redd as the only pass holder for one day means he’s guaranteed to be on your island on that given day. The chances of him arriving as time goes on doesn’t seem to increase either from what I can tell, just very random.

That’s the annoying thing, I still log on probably most days and have have Sunday as a day off from it, sure I could be getting very unlucky and the odd day I miss logging on Redd is there but even then that’s quite unlucky in my opinion! Also for how much customisation the game gives the player elsewhere, having to allocate permits (or let Isabelle do it if you don’t want to) to visitors wouldn’t be immersion breaking really.

It's because some art is actually rarer than others, so we keep getting duplicates because they are the most common appearing pieces. Given the rarity of art anyway I'm not sure it's a system that was necessary!

Robbo-92 wrote:Can I have the Ancient Statue please OR?

I'll send it your way :)

This is a good twitter thread btw on art spawn chances:

twitter.com/_Ninji/status/1262931861501816838

EDIT: I just found a calculation that puts the median time for collecting all the art without time travel or trading at just over 6 years... and 12 years for the unluckiest 5%. Goddamn

Feels like I’m in that 5% to be honest  without getting quite a few pieces from folk on here I think I’d still be in single digits with how often he shows up! Cheers for the statue OR!

Kicks and Label should appear in Able Sisters, Leif should appear in Nook's Cranny. Or even just... let another visitor appear on the same day as Kicks/Label/Leif because the other visitors aren't on the plaza anyway.
