Glad I'm not the only one who's had next to no luck with the seasonal recipes! Hoping for much better with the ice stuff, are the Christmas decorations being sold via Nook shopping/miles?

You can only get the maple leaf recipes from balloons (apart from the red leaf pile that Isabelle gives you automatically)

There are 9 maple leaf recipes, 12 mushroom recipes, and 9 acorn/pinecone recipes total.

I'm currently in the process of some renovation to the area around the plaza, but for it to look as intended I need to move the shop - how else! - one space to the right. 50,000 more than necessary to budge it over one. Once the shop is where it needs to be, the Able Sisters will be moved to the other side of the plaza (to where the outdoor workshop originally was), then a bit more sorting of paths and fences and everything will be done just in time for Turkey Day.

So I've completed my island redesign! The dream address is DA-6292-1621-7914 for anyone that's interested.

I have started getting dupe seasonal recipes... despite still needing mush log and mush lamp. At the end of the month I'll post up what I have so we can try and trade any missing? At the moment I have Maple Lead Pond Stone and Mush Wall.

I'd spent a good month finally getting back into the game and it seemed like all the game save corruption glitches were fixed (or avoided by not going online) and I had made an incredible island. I dug out a giant lake in the middle and had lots of small islands dotted around.

Then it bloody corrupted during gameplay! I'm going back to Pocket Camp.

Hello Carlos, if it is not too late...., whatever you do, do not delete your corrupted save data!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me about two weeks ago but I got my island back just recently ! I also emailed Nintendo support to see if they could help and and they came back recently, (after I had already sorted it myself), with a recommended way to try to get an island back.

I can't do it now - supposed to be at work - but I'll let you know how I got my island back, and what Nintendo's advise is tonight. Fingers crossed!

There is definitely something strange going on for your save data to keep corrupting as it's not a common issue.

Have you tried deleting the game data and reinstalling from scratch? You're not doing something like powering off during an auto-save are you? Or quitting out to the menu but then immediately closing the game? (The game saves after you quit)

In other news - I got lucky and got the last two mush recipes last night Screenshot as shyguy requested (it doesn't show the full extent but you get the idea)

I'm now delayed two days with island reconstruction because of how fast I rush through menus. The Nook's shop has been moved to where it needed to be, so today was meant to just move the Able Sisters to its correct place. Guess what? Because of how fast I tried to move through the menu, I placed the tailors one space from where it needs to be. Two more days of waiting. And the lesson won't be learnt as I keep rushing through menus no matter the game.

Hi Carlos. I tried everything to restore my game/island - deleted and reinstalled the game, proper shut down and re-start of the console, taking game card out and micro-sd card to reset and various combinations. No joy! I talked to Nintendo support via their web-chat service and they basically said there was nothing they could do once we'd run through a few things.

But...., the other day, in desperation really, I picked up the console and went to start up ACNH. When I first got the 'corrupted save' message it was before the Thanksgiving/Christmas update. So the first thing it did was ask me if I wanted to install the latest game update. I said yes and it loaded up just fine. Then it went to 'select a user' and....... it worked!! Game back, completely by surprise after having given in. So, if you haven't already updated you could try this or..... in the long run, wait until the next update in January and try this. (Not a minimal miles away really.)

In the meantime I had emailed Nintendo support to try again. I'd got my game/island back by the time they got back to me but this is what they said:-



"Thank you for contacting Nintendo UK Customer Support regarding your Animal Crossing query.

In this instance, we regrettably inform you that no backup restoration can be done to your game, as this only apply to consoles that have lost or damaged.

Meanwhile we are providing troubleshooting that might help resolve this situation:

Error Message: Corrupted Save Data. Please Run a Check for Corrupted Save Data.

1. Ensure your console has the latest system update.
2. Check for corrupt data.
3. Delete the software and/or software update, and redownload them from the Nintendo eShop.
4. Restart the console by holding down the POWER Button for at least three seconds to access the Power Menu, then select "Power Options" > "Restart."
5. Launch the software and redownload any necessary software updates.

Situation Not Resolved

If the error persists, then the Nintendo Switch console will need to be repaired.
We will attempt to preserve the save data but depending on the issue, it is not always possible to recover it.

Thank you for reaching out Nintendo UK Customer Support and please do not hesitate to
contact us, if you have any further queries."


I think the interesting thing in this response is the implication that, if their suggestions do not work, it is assumed that the console is damaged and you can send it through to them for repair hopefully whilst getting the save back.

It does annoy me that, having signed up to the cloud saves option, it appears that this is absolutely pointless unless your Switch has been stolen or broken.... Not at all good enough Mr Nintendo.

I hope this helps you get your island back. I definitely would not deleted your supposed 'corrupted' save date just yet. If nothing else hang on until the January update and try what I did. Fingers crossed for you.

I had a very long chain of angry emails to Nintendo accusing them of selling faulty code on their webstore. But because I used a CDkeys code they said I had to go back to them which was ridiculous because all they sold was a chain of letters and numbers.

I even only asked for store credit rather than a full cash refund for £40 which was the discounted amount I paid. They were having none of it. I debated taking it to small claims as under consumer law anything inherently faulty (in this case the game code) should be covered but I couldn't be arsed.

After 7 months away (apparently I’m sure it’s less) I’ve come back. And I’m back into it
