Unfounded fear until it comes. Nintendo have still done extra content properly in all their paid games (well, maybe a bit overboard with Smash 4 in terms of price, but they seem to have corrected that with Ultimate). Also, this is the team that supported both Splatoon games with free content updates for more than a year each. There's nothing to worry about.

At least, not until Tom Nook comes out with another promotional video with such in-your-face money grubbing tactics as that one from NBA 2K or whichever game it was.

I really hope so, Rula. It was my most-anticipated title for this year and now it is for next year, too :-) . I got right back into New Leaf a few months ago and I think I'll play some more ahead of New Horizon arriving.

So it’s now up for pre order on Nintendo’s official store, let’s go crazy and assume that means news is around the corner :slol:

Just a base version of the game though, I’m hoping there’ll be a really nice special edition to get my hands on though, I’ll probably put 100’s of hours into this over the next couple of years (once it’s released of course) so a special edition would go down a treat.

I do wonder if it’ll get its own direct next year or a decent chunk in a standard one, whatever I can’t wait to see more of this.

I need to pre order this asap. I'm getting a little tired of pocket camp now, I have most animals available to come to my campsite.

That sassy penguin was in my Wild World and New Leaf towns, so I hope shes in mine in this one!

I never got into Pocket Camp, downloaded it, played it a few time and it was alright I guess but I quickly got rid, same with Mario Kart Tour as well.

One of my favourite villagers has always been Cube the penguin.

Hopper is the angry one isn’t he? Does have crazy eyebrows though

Wonder if they’ll add any new ones for New Horizons or if they’ll just further flesh out the current roster.

Yup, he's the angry one.

I would think we might get fewer villagers added so they can boost the personalities of them, but I expect there to be one or two new villager species added.

There must be nearing 400 villagers/characters (counting ones like Tom Nook etc) in total? I think I’ve only had Cube who’s been in various towns, the rest have been pretty unique in that respect, so I’d say fleshing out the ones they’ve got is a better plan, room for a few more unique/special ones though.

Didn’t realise it was nearer 500 in total then! Definitely don’t need many new ones, maybe just some more unique ones that come visiting if any new ones do get added.

Do people generally do multiple towns?

I've only ever done one and stuck with it.

Except for Wild World, I've always kept to my first town. Though I was tempted to with New Leaf, but couldn't be parted with Bunnie.

Only one I’ve had multiple towns on was the GC version, mainly as I had 4 memory cards knocking about so had a town on each, one was definitely a lot more more played than the other 3 though. Been tempted with the rest but couldn’t part with all the time I’ve put into the individual towns.
