If they've upped the character limit for town names, I can finally go with Halesowen in one of these games. Otherwise, it'd probably have to be Clifton, which still fits it within the same series. Better yet, I could go for Herzan and shrink an entire fictional state of America into one island.

I've cancelled my pre-order for the cart version and gone digital. I'm all set for 20 March... "I'm excited!" :-) .

Edit: Didn't pay the £49.99 eShop price; got a code for £38.99 from CDkeys. A code is also available for £38.85 from ShopTo.

Damn that's a good price, the tote bag will have to wait. Weird how this is cheaper digitally than physical in so many places.

My previous Animal Crossing towns have all been called Edoras. I was really into Lord of the Rings when I was a teenager and played the GC Animal Crossing. I'll probably carry on the tradition this time.

The thing I’m struggling with for New Horizons is that the name will need to fit in with an island rather than a village/town. I’ll just scour various games history’s for potential names before it comes out, see if anything jumps out to me.

Although that’s just under 6 weeks away now!

I called my New Leaf town Outset, so I might stick with the WW theme this time, too.

So far I’ve come up with Keelhaul from TTYD, also Cinnabar but nothing sure if that’d fit. There’ll be loads to pick from when I properly think about it.

I always call my towns Torkard as it was the name my hometown was called hundreds of years ago before I was born, did this with the first one and have ever since.

NoA have put the rating up for this and it mentions ‘in-game purchases’

New Horizons to get DLC content then? Makes sense as Ninty have been talking about extending the life of games with DLC content. Wonder what they would include though
