I'd hazard it's to give more of a feeling of discovery, but I agree with it as a criticism as I end up looking online every month for answers.

This. I only look at the list online toward the end of the month so as to try not miss out, or just for fish/deep sea creatures since you don't see what's new like you can with bugs. But discovering a new species unexpectedly is one of the most fun parts of the game.

Yeah I have been spending at least the first few days of each month just seeing what I find myself before looking up what is new and available, it is definitely fun to discover new species. Bugs are definitely the best for it because you actually see them as you say. I only have two left to catch now though! I'm surprised both bugs and fish are nearly complete given there's been 7 months since release - I thought there would be more winter only species.

Related post though, I have a duplicate genuine famous painting (aka Mona Lisa), free to a good home. Who wants it?

I’ll take it

I'll send it when I next play :toot:

Thank you, I just bought the dynamic painting!

If you didn't realise, you also have Celeste visiting and shooting stars. I got the Virgo Harp recipe :)

EDIT: I wished on a few shooting stars too, so you should get some extra star pieces tomorrow from that. I've left now!

Anyone interested in getting their hands on some DIY recipes? I may open up from around 5 if there's any interest.

Have you got the large bookcase or the jail bars recipes? :shifty: They're the two I'm keen to get my hands on but none of my villagers ever craft it :dread:

Not got a spare recipe but can craft some jail bars if you’re desperate for some!

Dam, always seem to be occupied with something else when you open your island up to try and offload recipes

Finally caught a few new sea creatures tonight, including the formerly illusive Gigas Clam :)

Edit, only 2 more sea creatures I’m missing this month anyway. Hopefully I’ll get lucky with them soon as diving is by far the least fun out of bug catching, fishing and diving in my opinion.

I like diving more than fishing, it's just lots quicker. Not that it matters but the return seems to be the best too, I make so much money every time I go diving even though I'm just after Pascal!

Pascal is probably also why diving is better - there is a reason to do it every day.
